Fire Wings - San Jose — Restaurant in San Jose

You know it’s not worth it when the wings are smaller than a ketchup packet….

Came here because I wanted to switch it up from going to Wing Stop all the time. Well shame on me, I should’ve stayed loyal. Fire Wings is not fire at all.

Though they have a variety of flavors, the wings were mediocre and tiny! I only got BBQ. They gave a lot of sauce but it felt like there was more sauce than meat on the bones…

Also do not get the seasoned fries. They’re basically tasteless versions of Popeye fries. The only good thing about my meal was that the regular classic fries are crinkle cut so I got a lot.

For drinks, they only had Pepsi and other lower quality options like Orange Crush and Mountain Dew. Sugary nothing.

Imagine if Wingstop had a cool uncle, well that’s what Fire Wings would be lol.

For quite some time I’d commute to the Hayward or San Mateo locations which were the closest to San Jose. Some of the most flavorful sauce combinations paired with well balanced garnish’s allows this establishment to outshine other traditional wing spots. Don’t be afraid to ask to try sauces before ordering them as well!

I ordered Nashville chicken sandwich level: Super Fire (DON’T try this unless you can handle it). Well battered and perfectly fried which comes with fries and drink if you choose the combo. 10 Piece Bone in Salt/pepper & Dragon flavor wings which are self explanatory when it comes to the taste. Excited to try this new place. It could have been great but fell short. Nothing horrendous but not really thinking I’ll crave this later. The wings are TINY. we got Saigon and lemon pepper. The lemon no surprises there but the Saigon flavor needed improvement and in top of that it was barely covered in sauce so it basically was a naked chicken. When you did get sauce it just tasted like raw fish sauce and honey.
