McDonald's — Restaurant in San Jose

I’m a long-time customer who walks from home to grab a quick meal here all the time. But I won’t be coming back. Due to her language skills, the lady “helping” me kept throwing up her hands when she couldn’t understand me, then deliberately turned her back and acted like she couldn’t hear me while she attended to some imaginary stuff. I had a deal to scan open on my app, but had to close it to show her what hot chocolate was (lol?) yeah loooong story short, she said “talk to my manager” that manager also didn’t understand English so I switched over to school-girl Spanish. Finally a higher up came over and talked to both of them, so they’d take my coupon. It had expired while I was trying to teach the lady what hot chocolate was in English, and she thought I was lying when I said it wasn’t working. Yeah in the end… she gave me COFFEE. Im ALLERGIC to caffeine, my body has reactions to anything with over ~10mg in it. HORTE always greets me warmly whenever I visit, going out of her way to make me feel welcome. She even takes the time to say hi to my son, who is on the autism spectrum, which means so much to me as a parent. Her kindness and attention to detail create such a positive and inclusive atmosphere. :)

Normally I don't go here. There's no drive through, and it's poorly positioned, hard to get in and out during traffic hours. IE: lunch.

But I did go today.

I always order simple orders at McDonald's, because in my experience, they have a really hard time taking orders and following instructions.

I ordered a big Mac meal and a McDouble. And to my surprise, I got exactly what I ordered! My burgers were not missing buns, there was napkins, ketchup, straw. It's all there! Huh... I gave 5* because this McDonald's proves that it can be done.
