Noah's NY Bagels — Restaurant in San Jose

I lived in Boston for 5 years and a big fan for good bagels, and this bagel place needs to be improved for its bagel quality. Definitely don’t think east coast people all eat bagels like this, such a big disappointment 😟 First, the bagel bread flavor is limited, (typical bagel flavors including ‘everything bagel, onion bagel, whole grain bagel etc.’), but on a Sunday morning, the only available bagel bread flavor here is sesame bagel and 2/3 other flavors like plain bagel. Second, the bagel bread itself should be heated prior to making the bagel sandwich: the good bagel bread should let you smell the good smell of baked grains, slightly crunchy on the edge and soft on the inside. This place directly used the bagel bread without heating up/baked prior to making the sandwich. Lastly, I added double eggs, double bacons and extra salmon, but the food content is just the same as a normal sandwich in Dunkin’ Donuts/Macdonald, at least from the bacon portion. The bagels are great for California (this coming from a Jersey girl who is always searching for a decent NY bagel ;-). The only problem is the inventory. As I typically come on Fridays after a nearby Pilates class that ends around 10am, I was finding that sometimes the bagels I like (mainly the "everything" bagel, which I assume is one of the most popular, and my boyfriend's favorite jalapeno cheddar) were often out and they weren't planning to make any more. So I started ordering online early in the morning and scheduling my pickup. Well, today I ordered at 6:56am, but when I showed up at my scheduled 10am pickup time, my order wasn't ready because they were completely out of everything I ordered (4 everything and 2 jalapeno cheddar). Which is crazy since I specifically ordered before 7am to avoid this exact problem! I just don't understand why they can't keep the inventory available of their most popular bagels all morning, particularly when they know someone has placed an order several hours earlier! I have never written a negative review before but today was just too much! I have just starting going to this location. The service has always been on the slow side even when not that crowded but generally the staff was friendly. Today, I waited more than 10 minutes (after I had ordered it) for a bagel with cream cheese before I asked if my order would be ready soon. Mind you there was only one customer ahead of me. I guess the two young people behind the counter did not like that I asked and when I finally got my order, I was shocked by the amount of time it took and I didn't even get a thank you for waiting. What was even more shocking was there was almost no cream cheese on it but enough to say they didn't forget to put it on the bagel.. I guess they thought they would be funny and tamper with my order. Unfortunately, I was already at my office when I opened my bagel. I highly doubt I will ever go back as who knows what they might do to my next order.
