I’m not sure if there’s been a change in ownership, but the overall experience at this location has declined noticeably. The tables, counters, and floors often appear unclean, which is disappointing for a place that used to feel more inviting.
I recently brought a friend who was visiting for a few days, and we stopped by twice in the evening for some post-dinner treats, both visits were underwhelming. The pastry selection was minimal after 6 PM, and the atmosphere felt unprofessional.
It seems that in the evenings, the staff consists mostly of very young employees, with no visible manager present. While it’s great for peers to work together, the lack of supervision appears to lead to a lack of accountability. I overheard shouting and profanity, which is concerning in a family-friendly environment where parents often bring their children.
On both occasions, we noticed staff hiding behind the display case and ignoring customers who were asking for assistance. Simple requests like answering a question or retrieving a cake shouldn’t be difficult, especially when it’s part of the job.
I do want to acknowledge that there were employees in the past who provided exceptional service. One young woman, who I believe may have been pregnant during my past visits, consistently went out of her way to ensure guests left happy. She and another kind Persian employee always left a positive impression.
I sincerely hope the management takes these concerns seriously. With proper training and leadership, this location could return to the standard it once held. Otherwise, the lack of professionalism and respect shown by some of the current staff may continue to harm the business in the long run.
Just an additional note: if you’ve ever wondered why the cakes and pastries taste dry, it’s because they’re frozen rather than freshly made. Be sure to check the fruit on and inside your cake before eating, as there have been customer...
Read moreThis particular Paris Baguette bakery was an unexpected disappointment when compared to the ones I had visited recently in Cupertino and Mountain View.
The bakery is located in a rather dilapidated neighborhood shopping center, so is the bakery's interior, which seems somewhat run down and definitely not as clean or fresh smelling as the Cupertino and Mount View locations. It had zero ambiance, as far as I am concerned.
Food-wise, the Almond Croissant I had ordered was burned on the outside, and very dry in taste on the inside. The coffee was also not freshly brewed or hot; instead, it was served from a cheap-looking dispenser.
As for the service, the tall middle-aged lady wearing glasses, and who stood behind the counter when I was preparing to pay, did not even bother to respond or acknowledge when I said hi to her. Maybe she didn't hear me?
Anyway, the only saving grace about this Paris Baguette bakery located off Braham Lane is its pricing. On average, the items there are about 10% cheaper than similar ones at the Cupertino and Mountain View locations. Even then, this pricing advantage is not enough to persuade me to return again in the future. Not worth the trouble. Sorry, I was not "wowed" by this place.
Note: The toilet was kind of messy too. Better...
Read moreI’ve been coming here for years for all of my events cake needs
Today I went to a location in Santa Clara and I ordered a coffee and some pastries. I drove back to my area and I realized I didn’t like my coffee after I took two sips You could tell it was new So I came here to ask them if I can trade it for another drink and I provided my receipt I was kind and asked nicely , as someone who’s worked in these settings I understand how mean customers can impact your day.
The lady at the front immediately gave me an ugly attitude She looked at me receipt and said “you added caramel to your maple drink, that’s disgusting” And I let her know it was just bitter and not sweet at all
She just kept saying I need to go back to the Santa Clara location and she can’t fix it for me or change for another drink .
After today , this location doesn’t deserve loyalty This lady shouldn’t work in a customer facing role is she lacks what a customer facing employee should have .
If it were my company , I’d prefer not to have her on my team
Even my 8 year old said “wow she had an attitude”
I didn’t get her name But if you see this...
