Tonight when I returned to order the Tuesday ham and cheese sandwich special, problems developed from the onset. The person taking my order, cashier 5, decided to place Swiss cheese on my order where I'm at this restaurant just about every Tuesday and order American cheese on my plain sandwich, and how I ordered it this evening.
I saw the food preparer making the sandwich, and caught the Swiss cheese being placed on the meat and said that's not how I ordered it and you have made my sandwiches previously, and that must be for another customer. She removed the Swiss cheese and placed two slices of 1 x 3 inches of American cheese on my sandwich and started wrapping it up.
I mentioned that that's not the proper serving of cheese for a sandwich, and with no condiments added to it, I receive around 5 pieces. She bagged the sandwich and handed it to me where I mentioned that this would be my last time at this location, and I would notify the owners about this service.
I've been a Togos customer for around 30 years and this is how a 6 inch $10 sandwich is served?
Subway offers 12 inch sandwiches for the same price and they are under consideration for this type of services rendered.
We used to primarily come for the soups where they have discontinued 80% of them leaving only the sandwiches as the only reason for my business. I guess everyone has a bad day every now and again.
Generally, I receive good results and service.
Formally located on Prospect Road, they moved to this place where the other business is privately owned.
The soup selection used to be on a daily basis where now its a hit and miss where they make whatever is in stock.
I enjoy the weekly sandwich specials where you receive a small sandwich, chips and a drink for under $10. The food and breads are fresh and special gluten free orders are...
Read moreI'm so glad this Togo's is still here after all these years (30+). Tucked away in the back, it's the only business that hasn't changed during the life of this little strip mall. Togo's beats Subway in quality any day of the week. They give you larger portions of higher quality meat, their bread isn't 90% air like Subway's (the wheat bread has a real whole grain taste and chewiness to it and is covered in oats), and their avocado blows Subway out of the water! 🥑 Togo's mashes their avocado just enough to make it spreadable (not to the point of guacamole consistency) and it tastes like they add a squease of lemon juice 🍋, which not only prevents the avacado flesh from oxidizing/browning, but adds the perfect hint of acidity to complement a sandwich. The quantity of avacado spread on a #24 is very generous!
The only problem I've ever run into here is they sometimes run out of wheat bread, which is very dissappointing :( 😢. In my experience, the parmesan bread absorbs moisture from the produce much quicker than wheat. It starts getting soggy within an hour. So I don't recommend it for sandwiches with avacado, lettuce, pickle and tomato, unless you plan on eating it right away. Please stock up on wheat bread, guys! 🥖🙎 Pwease 🙏
I can't always make it here before 9pm, but I really appreciate that they are happy to make me a sandwich when I get there just a few minutes before closing! 😌 That's one of my biggest pet peeves: when a business closes at a time earlier than their posted hours, or when employees act like they are extremely inconvenienced by having to do their job when they're on the clock but eager to go home (It happens more than you might think in many places).
They also have great oatmeal raisin cookies! Just please leave one for me if you decide to...
Read moreI used to love coming here. The manager at the time was the mother of a schoolmate. I believe you got a free drink if you went to Prospect. I do not care much for this location now. I went in at 930am. The hours on the internet said they open at 10am. Their open sign was on. An employee walked in watched me get my baby out, walk inside and stand in line. Then he tells me they are not open. I said the door was open and the open sign is on. He had two McDonald's coffees in his hand. A woman comes out and asks what's going on. I told her what he said but told her that the open sign is on and the door was open. She said what he said. They are not open. So they told me they could not help me. So I left. I went to Mr. Pickles, they open at 9am. The employees over there were great so helpful and polite. I will not be returning to...
