Maybe we came on an off day, but this was not a meal to remember (except for how much we paid in comparison to the meal).
Pros: wait staff was friendly and service was great. drinks were strong.
Cons: the food felt like elevated bar snacks, but could use improvement to be great. Perhaps we just had bad luck and didn't order the best of the menu, but we're not inclined to come back to try again any time soon. Onion rings: we took one bite and left the rest on the table. They were so greasy and oily to the point of being inedible. There was barely any onion in the rings - mostly batter - and they used red onions which are not the best for getting a good onion ring. Fried fish sticks: salmon's a hard choice for this because of how easily they overcook and dry out. Maybe it was the restaurant's way of making fish sticks 'fancy' by using salmon instead of a white fish, but the end result was not great - dry on the inside, greasy fried taste on the outside. Korean bbq pork tacos: when I think of Korean bbq, I think of very flavorful meat that has been marinated for hours (sometimes days). These were not that. The only flavorful thing was the pickled onions on top. The overall taste was dry. Surprisingly the meat was a grilled, sliced patty, which is very different from any Korean bbq pork I've ever had before. Butiburger sliders: I admire the effort to create a dish that highlights a form of meat that's special to Spanish/Latin cuisine (butifarra) and feels accessible to the masses (sliders). But unfortunately, the execution wasn't a home run. Avocado salad: 4 slices of avocado, handful of grape tomatoes, leafy spring mix, parmesan, dressing. The only item we got that met expectations: hard to mess up, probably has...
Read moreVisited for dinner on a Friday. Food came out âquickerâ than the usual PR service. Got several dishes but were mediocre and dry. Their drinks were okay and a bit overpriced. Tuna tartare/poke - way too salty and it didnât go well with the chips it comes with. House wings had great fragrance but flavors were lacking and wings were way too small! Longa- extremely oily and absolutely lacks flavor, they should seriously take this off the menu unless they can perfect it. Baby Portabella - I donât know what they were trying to do with it, it was literally stir fried mushrooms. Pork belly dish (forgot the name) - SO DRY. It was def cooked and left out for a day at least. Cheese croquettes - ok but not good. The staff was friendly though. Expect to wait 45min+ for your first dish...
Read moreIf I could do less than one star. I would. They would get zero stars. Honestly, it's our fault as a group for not making a unanimous decision and allowed one person to chose this waste of time. We should have figured out from how empty it was that the service was not a good quality. The only thing that is worth the value is the aguacate salad for $8. My man got Mac and cheese that was Kraft made with water reheated for $16. A friend asked for it to be reheated and it was heated for 30 seconds. The waitress forgot what drink he wanted even though she stated it was her favorite drink on the menu. We are a group of 13 and we are only allowed to do 3 checks. All and all,...
