Capilla Nuestra Señora de Lourdes — Attraction in San Juan

I started visiting San Juan in 1987, and this church was always “under renovation”. Then around 2012, maybe, they suddenly reopened it to the public and actually held Masses there. I was amazed to finally see the interior of the church: it is almost identical to the parish church we belong to in St. Louis, Missouri, also called “Our Lady of Lourdes!”! Esta Capilla histórica en el corazón de Miramar merece cinco estrellas por su belleza interior, estilo gótico y por ser una joya cultural. Puede pasar desapercibida si no se presta atención a la esquina donde se halla localizada. Pero tuvimos la oportunidad de asistir a la misa de Sabado a las 4pm y fue sumamente espiritual. La capilla estaba abarrotada con los Católicos de la comunidad de Miramar y hubo personas de pie . Las obras de restauración prometen pulir está joya y es un orgullo el haber visitado la Capilla mientras estaba de paseo en la isla. This Chapel is a jewel in the heart of Miramar. Deserving of 5 stars for its gothic style, beautiful interior and more than anything for its cultural and historical value. We were able to walk through its historic doors for the Saturday mass at 4pm and it was a great spiritual experience.
