Marmoleo Restaurant — Restaurant in San Juan

My family and I ate for 2 days in a row at this amazing restaurant. We were looking for a space that could take a large reservation and stumbled upon Marmoleo online. Upon arriving we were met with the warmest welcome. The service was impeccable, caring, proactive, attentive. The food was out of this world, the desserts were to die for. We were so impressed and happy that we made a reservation for 25 the next night. Once again the 2nd night was just as good and the service was really wonderful. We really want this restaurant to be highlighted not only b/c they did so much for us but because the food was truly delicious. It's a bit off the beaten path but worth a drive to if you are in the area. Also, the food takes time so please be patient, it will be worth it. Went with my my family (total of 7 people). The food was delicious! I recommend getting appetizers as they take their time making the entrees. We had the Montaditos de Ropa Vieja and the Montaditos de Spicy Crab y Agucate to begin and that was a good start while we waited for our food. I had the plátano mofongo de ropa vieja which was delicious considering I don’t typically eat a dish like this. The presentation was beautiful and appetizing. The carne frita encebollada was ordered by my dad and husband and they thought it was great. The kids had the filetitos de pollo empanados with a side of rice and they loved it. My mom had the churrasco a la parrilla with rice and beans and she loved it as well. While recently vacationing with family in Ocean Park, PR, we dined twice at this wonderful restaurant. The first night there were 15 of us. We were so pleased with the service, the food and the wonderful staff, that the next night when there were going to be 25 of us, some who live in the island, we decided to go back to Marmoleo. We were celebrating a few birthdays and they were great about accommodating us all and even-letting us decorate a bit, also had an entire area of the restaurant for our party of 25.
