HighSoClub — Hotel in San Juan

For the longest time I had been looking for the perfect property, resort, or venue to host my group of 12 for a well deserved vacation. I wanted to take 5 of my team members and their spouses on a special trip, but I couldn't find anywhere that had the right vibe, right price, and right kind of accommodation for so many people. I also then considered what I would have to do in terms of arranging a private chef to come make us meals, and of course transportation for sightseeing, and excursions. It really seemed so overwhelming that I wasn't sure I was going to be able to make the trip happen... Until I found HighSoClub and reached out about my hopes for a nice vacation.

Right off the bat Hector was extremely responsive, detailed, helpful, and friendly. He worked closely with our assistant Gracie to coordinate transportation from the airport, and our full day schedules for the entire trip. Payment was easy and the cost was incredibly fair for the luxury level of service we received.

I arrived a day before my team, and was picked up by Hector in a super nice black car. This wasn't a one time thing either, all of the vehicles HighSoClub uses for transportation are new, clean, safe, and comfortable. This truly impressed me right off the bat. He took me to the grocery store so I could stock up on snacks and drinks for the team. The level of service I was provided with before the rest of my group even arrived, was unbelievably good.

As someone who can be pretty particular about travel, experiences, food, etc... I was absolutely blown away by the high quality of service, attention to detail, and friendliness given to myself and my whole team by Hector, Claudia, and their team.

Every single little detail was paid attention to. We were supposed to go snorkeling, but at the very last moment (the day before) the tour company (not affiliated with HighSoClub) called us and told us that the water would be too choppy for snorkeling, so Hector went above + beyond (this is a phrase you'll find I use a lot when talking about HighSoClub) to arrange new plans for us to do a different excursion entirely in El Yunque. He helped us find the right water shoes at Walgreens and him and Claudia even joined us on the excursion.

One of our team members had a small child on the trip who has some sensory sensitivity. She was initially afraid to walk in the mud, and Hector stepped up - he was so kind with her that you would have thought he was trying to comfort and encourage his own daughter. How thankful we are for this is hard to express in a review, but truly from the bottom of all of our hearts - THANK YOU HECTOR!

Let's talk about the food now shall we? Wow. I could just leave it at that, but Chef Claudia provided us with some of the most fresh tasting food I've ever had, period. Don't waste your money staying at a big name hotel or resort when you can have food made with love and care by Claudia. Beyond the taste, the presentation was top notch. They were also extremely flexible with meal times and concerns over food allergies (or restrictions like vegan/vegetarian) which were both big factors for our group.

Both Claudia and Hector were fun to chat with on our trip, and we all mentioned how much we enjoyed these interactions and conversations. The stories and tidbits we picked up from them were a big part of what made our trip interesting and memorable.

As far as the property itself? I travel pretty frequently and have seen a wide range of creature comforts at places I've stayed, but most places even the most highly rated and expensive - cut corners somewhere. Usually in the bathroom or bedroom areas.

This isn't the case at HighSoClub, where every single bed was comfortable. Every single room was spotless, clean, and tastefully decorated. Every single shower had nice hot water with good pressure. The outdoor areas are modern and our team had a blast in the pool and just hanging out in general.

Hector + Claudia, thank you for everything. Our Puerto Rico trip would not have been the same without you. We love you and miss...

TL;DR – book your next trip with HighSoClub. You will NOT regret it!!!!

Recently, HighSoClub hosted our group of 17 guests in their M1 property. We booked our stay about 5 months prior to our trip and from the beginning, Hector was in constant contact with us regarding our itinerary, meals, transportation, accommodations, excursions, etc. The HighSoClub team’s attention to detail is unmatched. The team is well organized and reliable. Ahead of the trip, they provided a detailed itinerary including all pick up/drop off times and locations, the main point of contact for airport transfers, when our in-house meals would be served, and timing around the excursions and locations we wanted to visit.

Upon arrival, we were greeted by our main driver, Javier. Javier had the BEST energy throughout our entire trip! It felt like we were being greeted by a friend. Javier was easy to communicate with and was flexible and accommodating when we needed a little extra time before departing for our next event! Javier took us to all of the local San Juan spots we wanted to check out and was a plethora of knowledge when it came to good food, good drinks, and a good time! Anything you want to know about Puerto Rico, Javier has got you covered!

The house and outdoor space were STUNNING! The outdoor space is surrounded by beautiful trees and greenery, which created a relaxing environment. The house itself was immaculate and super clean! The team came and cleaned each day, which was definitely needed with such a large group (you could literally smell the cleanliness from the products used)! The location of the house was great, too. We felt safe and comfortable. We were less than a 5-minute walk from a beautiful beach, which we took full advantage of!

The food was INCREDIBLE!! I cannot speak highly enough about our experience. From the presentation of the food to the actual taste of the food – 5/5 stars!!!! HighSoClub provided all our meals and after each meal, all of us were full and couldn’t stop talking about how damn good it was!! The team served more than enough food for everyone. Claudia, Rose Marie, Monica, and Larry are truly the DREAM TEAM when it comes to food and service! They were all so accommodating as we had various dietary restrictions in our group. One of the days we spent at the beach and the HighSoClub team packed two huge coolers of drinks and food for us to enjoy! I’m still dreaming about our “Taste of Puerto Rico” dinner!!

Throughout the entire trip, Hector was facilitating transportation, logistics, and being a liaison between our group and the HighSoClub team. Anything we wanted or needed, Hector had it covered! It's clear that Hector and the HighSoClub team put their heart and soul into providing the best experience possible for their guests. We truly felt that they went above and beyond for us and couldn't have asked for a better host!

I had the most incredible stay in Puerto Rico, and I can confidently say it was a perfect 10 out of 10 experience! Our girls' trip was unlike anything we've ever had before. From the moment we arrived, it was evident that this place had meticulously planned every detail to ensure our stay was nothing short of exceptional.

The attention to detail was unparalleled. They had organized everything, from our mouthwatering meals to exciting excursions, leaving us worry-free and able to fully immerse ourselves in the beauty of the island. The convenience of having shuttles with friendly drivers at our disposal meant we didn't have to worry about arranging transportation.

Moreover, they thought of the little things that made a huge difference. Providing all the essentials, like beach towels and amenities, made our time at the beach even more enjoyable. Their top-notch recommendations for shopping, dining, and nightlife were spot on, allowing us to explore the best places in town effortlessly.

Even before we set foot on the island, they went above and beyond by stocking the fridge with a delightful selection of food and drinks for our entire week's stay. It was a thoughtful gesture that made us feel welcomed and cared for right from the start.

One of the highlights of the trip was the personal tour our host took my friends through the jungle. This unique experience was far superior to any overcrowded paid tour, and Hector is not only a tour guide, but a professional, content creator in capturing the moments through the jungle. I’m highlighting the section because my friends would not stop talking about it the rest of the trip!!

I also want to express my heartfelt gratitude to the amazing individuals who made our stay truly unforgettable. First and foremost, a special thank you to our two private chefs, Maggie and Larry. Every dish they prepared was a delightful journey into the heart of Puerto Rican cuisine, and their authentic creations left us in awe of their culinary expertise.

I must extend my appreciation to our cheerful and reliable drivers, Carlos and Mariana. They not only made our journeys enjoyable with their lively personalities but also ensured our safety and comfort throughout our adventures on the island.

And last but not least, a massive thank you to our exceptional host, Hector. He went above and beyond in every aspect, leaving no stone unturned to ensure we had the best time imaginable. Hector's dedication to making our vacation stress-free and filled with joy was truly remarkable.
