We went to Barbacoa for dinner last Friday and it was phenomenal. For appetizers we ordered the Thai style wings, the brisket croquettes and the pulled pork croquettes. For dinner we ordered the ribs with bbq sauce on the side and had the mac & cheese and the elote as complements. As for the appetizers, the wings were the bomb! They were super crispy, sticky and hot and this restaurant deserves a visit just to try them. Of the croquettes, the pastrami was the best. They were tasty, balanced and lean, in contrast to the pull pork ones that had excellent flavor, but were a bit greasy. As for the dinner, the ribs were amazing, fall of the bone smoky goodness. The flavor was on par and extremely well balanced and the bbq sauce was the perfect combinationos of tangy and smokey. The mac & cheese were great, they just needed a tad of salt and the elote was amazing, the sauce elevated the flavors. Lastly, we had a key lime pie for dessert, which was phenomenal. Overall an amazing meal, great location with an amazing, super attentive and friendly staff. Without a dout some of the best Texas bbq in Puerto Rico!

Falling off the bone ribs 😋 are amazing. The lemonade made fresh with brown sugar ohmy. That's all I can say for a person who has southern grandparents who make lemonade. The pecan pie. Soooo good crust is good not the heavy butter taste, like my grandmother pie. Beans and rice ohmy herbs. Veggies fresh and homemade Mac and cheese delicious. WE had a amazing time I recommend this is your first choice when you land and your last taste of perfection before you leave for Barbeque ribs and fresh homemade sides. Homemade pie, cake. Brownies top with vanilla ice cream drizzle of chocolate . The atmosphere great cultural music and decor, staff professional. Thanks for a great experience.

I have been all over the USA eating brisket and lived in Texas and I can tell you that the brisket at this place is world class. They smoke their meat right there. I met the chef who has won awards in the states and takes his craft very seriously. He delivers top notch brisket that melts in the mouth. The fries are cut there and the coleslaw is good, although I always prefer a vinegar based coleslaw with my brisket. Service was a great with Spanish and English speaking service. If you like brisket, this is the place! Thank you Barbacoa for an awesome meal.

I was going to give 4 stars because the food took a little while and the pastrami croquettes had barely any meat in them. BUT the service, cleanliness of the restaurant and atmosphere was all top notch! We got pollo chicharonnes which was delicious. The carne frita was cooked to perfection, still moist and the bbq sauce they put on it was 💯 delicious 🤤 the sweet plaintain sliders were my favorite part! And the rice and beans were perfect recipe! I could go on and on! There’s not much great food for casual dining there surprisingly but this was phenomenal!

Do not pass this up. Found Barbacoa and gave it a try. This was really good. Ordered a smoked old fashion, which was delicious. We ordered the sampler platter with brisket, st louis ribs, and smoked carne frita - great sampler. With mac/cheese, tostines and added a mofongo. Good service and good food.
