TIP: only book this place if you are completely out of options or traveling alone. Carefully read the description and the amenities that are/are not included with the room as this is a VERY minimal accommodation.

Booked this stay for a last minute trip. I really wanted to like this place but never again.

The room we got is nothing like what was pictured on any sites. It was giving straight up prison vibes. Straight up bed and white walls, I felt like I was in a psychiatric asylum. Window is blocked. The outlet was not secured and very loose, very very ghetto.

Same with the bathroom, straight up minimal, which had a toilet seat that didn’t even fit the toilet and it was not secure so it was just uncomfortable to use. We thought we didn’t have hot water until my husband had to go under the sink to turn it on himself. The towels they gave us also just looked like a bunch of towels that guests may have left but still grateful to have at least been given towels. The hand soap smelled like hospital hand soap, didn’t even bother with the other toiletries. The bathroom also has no vent!! So the humidity and smells will linger in the whole entire room.

We also killed multiple roaches, which is not that big a deal considering its tropical island but for anyone squeamish of insects.

We tried to contact the hotel to switch rooms or cancel our second night because we just were not happy, they were completely unresponsive but when we contacted to ask if they had a laundry or hair dryer they responded so they only pick and choose what to help you with. Don’t expect anything.

The front gate was unlocked the whole time. The hotel rooms are accessed by code. So if security is something you need, I would not recommend staying here.

They also provide wifi but it is very weak that our tv barely even connected.

The aesthetic of the rest of the hotel is cute. Very boutique, nice rooftop. The location of the hotel is very convenient and quiet. It’s near the highway, near Calle Loíza which is a hot spot for everything you can think of, it’s also near the water. Parking was not bad, we didn’t have a hard time finding street parking in that street.

Overall, this place is literally just a place to crash, bare minimum if even. Staff is not helpful or responsive. Location is great. Would not recommend unless no...

TERRIBLE!!!|Upon check-in, they sent me a welcome message to Frank. With Frank’s room number and passcode to enter the room. When I replied to the text message that I was not Frank they deleted that message and sent me my reservation information. After talking with our neighbor the next day, the same thing happened to him. He was given somebody else’s room number and passcode to their room.|During our four night stay, we lost water five times. When we did have water for the shower, it came out like a drizzle. The bathroom vanity is falling apart. The side of the vanity is peeling off and the sink doesn’t look like it fits on the vanity. The pictures of the resort are way nicer than what you’re actually being checked into.|The location is convenient for a few really good restaurants, and the beds were comfortable, other than that this was a terrible place to stay. The beach that is within "walking distance" is trash. You can walk to that beach and then another half mile down the beach - to where it actually gets nice. I booked through Expedia so when I got home, I called Expedia and explained that there is no management to talk to and also explained all the issues we had. Expedia reached out to the hotel and they lied - saying that the water issues only lasted a couple hours during my stay. Therefore, they refused compensation. Inactuality, the water issues lasted hours at a time, but multiple times during the stay. Not worth the bargain price. Do yourself a favor and book elsewhere - this hotel was literally the only downside of our vacation.|Note- as you can see from the photos, there's hardly any water coming out of our shower. This was daily. One morning we had to brush our teeth with bottled water....

The Pelican Poshtel 1/5 Terrible My first interaction with the management of this location was to ask about a late check-in as we were landing at 1am. We were forced to book a whole other night for a few hours. Fine. Then, the day before our check-in, I had to reach out to the property to find out what was going on because I haven't heard from them, nothing had been communicated or anything. The room booked was a queen room and was NOT how it was pictured and advertised. It felt like a cell block with NO windows, a small dingy bathroom and not a single surface to place any personal belongings. The dehumidifier was emptied by myself about six times during the stay and knob to the shower was found under the sink, after the fact. The bed felt like stacked blankets, though I know it wasn't because the bed sheet kept coming off and I had to keep fixing it. It sank-in at the middle of the bed and my wife and I kept sinking into it while sleeping, making it SUPER UNCOMFORTABLE. Whichever "cleaning" staff was on would leave the supplies laying around blocking stairs and passageways. We left the room mid day and returned at night to find the same supplies laying in the same spots along with garbage bags. The location wasn't bad, its on a dead end street and there was decent street parking. Not far from a lot so access to the island was pretty easy. My wife and I feel like we got catfished with this stay... it's good for young persons who plan to only sleep there and do nothing else in their room.

*please read* i highly suggest you dont go here !! please. I recently stayed here for 3 days and they were the worst ones of my life. Mold everywhere.. Even on our pillows. The shower we had had no doors. the water would splash everywhere and no ventilation at all. the floors would get soaked wet, and the humid in there would make the walls wet. all out cloths and luggae was wet. My wife & i started to have trouble breathing the 2nd day there .. i can only image for someone who has ashma. This is truely a safety violate and safety hazard, i started to cough up blood due to how the mold was strong in the room.. please dont stay here, i would suggest you pay a little more and stay at any hotel, except a guest house like this.. looks nothing like pictures. The staff was nice, but its not their fault, they dont own the place. to the owners, i truly hope you guys do some renovations and stop being cheap .. also the hottub was dirty. & only one hottub unlike the pictures. Place looks nothing like the pictures. please be aware guys, i wouldn’t want any other family to suffer how me & my wife did.. all we wanted to do was go back home due to this place.. we had a horrible experience in such a beautiful place like puerto rico.
