My experience at this coffee shop was a bit mixed. The parking options were uncomfortable, but I noticed this seems to be a common issue with most coffee shops in the area. We had to park a little far from the shop and walk, which wasn't ideal. However, upon entering, I was pleasantly surprised by the interior space. From the outside, it appeared small, but the inside was actually quite spacious, giving it a cozy ambiance.
I have included two photos from my visit on May 20, 2023, to give you a better idea. One photo focuses on the coffee they served, and the other photo showcases the interesting designs on the walls.
One downside was the lack of air conditioning; instead, they relied on ceiling fans, which made it quite uncomfortable on the day we visited, as it happened to be particularly hot. The management might want to consider installing A/C units for better comfort during warmer days. Or maybe they had but weren't functioning this particular day, who knows.
The coffee shop's decor was a nice touch, with interesting designs adorning some of the walls. However, I couldn't overlook the lengthy wait for our coffee order, especially since the place was practically empty at that time. The service could use improvement in terms of efficiency.
Now, onto the food. I ordered a sandwich, and unfortunately, it fell short of expectations. The sandwich was dry and lacked any significant flavor, leaving me disappointed. On a scale of 1 to 5, I would only give it a 1.5, and that's being generous. As for the coffee, it was okay didn't quite match my personal preference. I would rate it a 6 out of 10.
In conclusion, while the coffee shop has some positive aspects, such as the spacious interior and interesting decor, the uncomfortable temperature, slow service, and underwhelming food were major letdowns. I hope they address these issues in the future, as it has the potential to be a more enjoyable and welcoming place...
Read moreMy most recent trip to Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 led me and my son to Panismo, a small bakery close to the University of Puerto RicPierre's. Town of Rio Piedras. When we walked in, the place was full of people all ages, and the smell of the food was to die for. The bakery has hand painted decorations, and right in the middle, they have an art piece called " El circulo de la vida," portraying features of the puertorrican homes. This bakery was founded in 2019 by 2 young entrepreneurs, and it provides a slight modern twist to bakery classics. They had all the baked classics, pastelillos, quesitos, tornillos, cheesecake, panatelas, and much more. I had a delicious steak sandwich with sauted onion, fries, and Swiss cheese in foccacia bread. My son had a cheeseburger and fries, and the bun used reassembled the traditional bread loaf made in puertorrican bakeries. We also tasted their cold and hot coffee, and both were tasty and bold. To finish up, we ordered their famous cheesecake, but we were too full to have it, so we saved it for later. It was rich and had so many textures that I could not get enough. If you are ready to take your taste buds to another level, go visit PANISMO, which means...
No me joda!. By the way!
