Wings Factory — Restaurant in San Juan

While the food at this establishment was satisfactory, my experience with the service left much to be desired. From the lack of introduction by our waiter, to the extensive delays in taking our order and fulfilling it, the service was disappointing at best. Detail of my service experience: Arrived at 6:50 and politely asked if we could sit outside, "Whatever you want," was the response. Thereafter, it took 10 min to receive menus. Took another 15 to place an order, which was done with specific dietary restrictions. When the waiter brought out the food, they were unsure if the food was for me. They proceeded to take the food back inside, came back after 5 min, and said "Yes this is your food." The waiter then saw my dietary restrictions were not met and asked if it were okay as is. "NO." That's the whole point of a dietary restriction. Anything outside of the restriction is not okay. Here goes another 10 min. Wait for that part of the order to be remade. The whole meal is out, except for drinks. We had to let another waiter know that we ordered drinks that had not arrived. Finally, all is on the table. Mind you, we still had to wait for extras like napkins and ketchup. Upon finishing the meal, again the food was satisfactory, I had to ask for the bill, and that took 10 min, and the waiter admittedly forgot. Let me be clear the restaurant was not full, and the waiter, as I could see, was responsible for just one other table outside and possibly one table inside. When it came to the receipt, the waiter only provided the total amount due, instead of breaking down the total, so I demanded a copy of the receipt. Had to go inside for a receipt and saw that a gratuity was added to the bill, and the item that was supposed to be included with the meal had an itemized charge. Was told this is simply how the order rings up. So, the cash tip I gave, even if bad service work was done, I asked for the cash tip back. Unless you order to go, dining in could be more trouble...

I am not exaggerating when I say these are the most delicious wings I have EVER had. The dry rub they put on is amazing. Not sure exactly how they make it but of you are on the island, you need to try these. Fantastic! Also, I don't like to eat a lot of wings as after a few the grease usually makes me feel a little weezy but I did not have an issue with these and ate like 17 wings that night😄 It's a little small but cozy. What I did not like is that the entire island does not have any free refills on club soda, so not just an issue here.
