Clue Murder Mystery — Attraction in San Juan

A Must-Do Activity & A Great Way To Begin Your Trip To Old San Juan!

Upon our arrival to Puerto Rico, we partook in this fun, interactive game as an alternative means of touring the area. Dalton, our amazingly knowledgeable and incredibly nice game host, created quite the challenging adventure for us in his who-done-it that spanned all of Old San Juan, all while teaching us things about Puerto Rican history, art, culture and more. The premise of this activity is that a celebrity was murdered, and you have to figure out who committed the crime, with what weapon, and where they did it. I went with a group of four and everybody had a great time, as we walked our way from the governor’s house to the gate of San Juan to El Morro and every other local attraction, trying to crack the case. In our case book, Dalton even included a list of awesome San Juan restaurant and bar recommendations, which we did use (and very much appreciated!) along the way. We did eventually solve the case correctly… but more importantly, we really enjoyed those two and a half hours at our own pace! For those of you who like the board game “Clue,” this is basically the human version of it. I’ll give it a 10/10, as I highly recommend it for all future San Juan visitors, as well as for any locals living...

I wanted to get to know PR and Old San Juan in a special way. I didn’t just want to show up at restaurants or bars and spend my time just walking around. So it was when I started looking for a way to become more intimate with this beautiful historical city in a fun but different way that I came upon the Clue Murder Mystery Tour. I signed up to solve the murder and had the time of my life. As I scrambled to find clues to solve missing pieces of the mystery, I was led down old cobble stone streets and past the original gates of Old San Juan. I had to search around past the water surrounding El Morro and spent time in all different squares within the city walls. I felt the meaning of each piece of history as the scenery became one with the clues to the identity of the murderer. I met new friends from my group ( they were from all over) as we all competed to be the first to solve the crime. It was great!!! So much fun and a real adventure. I hope to return to PR again, and when I do, I’ll be right back trying to solve the next murder mystery of...

What I loved the most was the flexibility. Dalton, the wonderful and extremely knowledgeable host, encouraged us to make the experience our own by stopping to check out local restaurants and bars along the way. This is a great way to customize the experience and enjoy some delicious food and drinks for a quick brain break from solving clues! (I recommend hitting Barrachina for the best Piña Colada!)
