San San Tea House — Restaurant in San Leandro

We stopped by San San Tea House over the weekend while visiting the area, and overall, it was a great experience. It wasn’t too busy when we first arrived, which gave us time to look through the menu and ask questions without feeling rushed. The cashier was incredibly friendly, patiently explained the drink options, and gave helpful recommendations. That level of customer service really stood out and made a positive first impression. We ordered four drinks to try a variety of flavors: Osmanthus Oolong Tea, Purple Cloud Milk Tea, Brown Sugar Boba Fresh Milk Tea, and Peach Mango Tea. All of them were solid choices—refreshing, flavorful, and well-balanced in sweetness. The Brown Sugar Boba Fresh Milk Tea had a nice depth from the syrup and chewy boba, while the Peach Mango Tea was vibrant and fruity without being too sweet. The Purple Cloud Milk Tea was creamy and unique, a standout among the four. The only slight letdown was the Osmanthus Oolong Tea. I had asked for their strongest tea, and while the flavor was pleasant, it came off a bit too mild for my taste. I was hoping for a bolder, more robust oolong base, especially with the floral osmanthus notes. One thing to note: there's a 3% credit card fee, which I’m not a fan of. I understand it’s becoming more common with businesses passing processing fees on to customers, but it’s still a bit of a downside, especially for small purchases. By the time we left, there was a line out the door—which definitely says something about this place’s popularity. This is by far the best boba tea house in the east Bay Area. I’ve tried several different places around the east bay, south San Francisco, the peninsula, and all the way down to San Jose and I haven’t found any place that can compete with the San San Tea House. I always get the strawberry smoothie with the popping boba. You won’t be disappointed. I will drive out of my way to come to there shop. I highly suggest anyone that loves boba drinks to come and try this place out! Once you try this place, you won’t go anywhere else! Thanks guys for having such awesome drinks! I got the passion fruit tea with grass jelly at 25% sugar and less ice and the sweetness was perfect. But we also got the purple cloud drink and it was bad. The ube flavor was nowhere to be found and tasted like water. I hoped for it to have some flavor of ube but it was nowhere to be found. My friend also got the strawberry smoothie and it was not good. We got 50% sugar and it had no strawberry taste. It tasted really strange. I hoped it would have more strawberry taste. The owners of this place make the drinks the best and I hope they can have their workers work on their drink...
