My visit to Denny's this morning turned out to be an absolute nightmare, all thanks to the rude and unprofessional behavior of a American male staff member, (wish I would have the time to check his name.) Prior to my arrival, I had called the restaurant to confirm if my puppy could accompany me, and the manager assured me that it was allowed.
Despite the manager's initial approval, the male staff member insisted that having a dog on the premises was unacceptable. After some back-and-forth, we were begrudgingly seated away from other patrons with the condition that our puppy remained on the floor. This seemed reasonable, and our well-behaved puppy complied by sitting calmly on the floor.
Things took a turn for the worse when the same male staff member returned to take our order. He abruptly demanded that our dog lay down, stating that unless she followed this command, we would not be served. When I explained that she was just a puppy and not a trained service dog, his attitude became hostile and he outright refused to serve us.
Despite my repeated requests to speak to the manager, the staff member adamantly denied my request and continued to deny us service. It was only after a considerable amount of back and forth that the manager intervened and asked to please allow her to take our order, bringing an end to the unnecessary confrontation created by the unprofessional behavior of the male staff member. We refused service and left the restaurant.
This experience at Denny's was marred by disrespect, inconsistency, and a lack of basic customer service. The lack of communication and professionalism displayed by the staff member not only ruined stay at San Luis Obispo but also left a lasting negative impression of the community. I would caution anyone considering dining at this particular Denny's location to be wary of the treatment they might receive, especially if they plan to bring a pet along. And honestly I truly believe that if I wasn't a Latina woman against this American male server, this situation would have never happened. DENNYS IS RACIST! DON'T GO THERE AND SUPPORT THIS RACIST...
Read moreMy Server was knowledgeable and helped the old folks in my party save money. She knew her menu quite well and the best way to give you an affordable meal. A true professional. However I ordered a chicken fried steak eggs with gravy The gravy was cold the fried steak was also ice cold in the middle I sent it back and they reheated it unfortunately by then everything else should already been eaten which makes for a bad meal experience. I suggested to the server if her cooks were not going to be paying attention to how warm the trays are when they're coming out or how hot the food was it would be beneficial for her to arm herself with a quick shoot thermometer so that she may be able to know what she is serving is good so she does not suffer in the tips area for the shortcomings of her cook. it's a rough time right now we're using a lot of new people and it is important that we train them properly Cook should know that food must be a certain temperature to serve had this been a hospital or skilled nursing facility the state would have been up there checking out why the food was ice cold in the middle This is just unprofessional and well below the standard set by Denny's restaurants Nationwide. Hopefully they can resolve this shortcoming in...
Read moreToo bad there isn't a rating lower than one star! Avoid this one people. There was a pubic hair in my hash browns. After hearing hearing so much gossip about me before from the waiters and staff, I filed a complaint. I was kicked out and accused of being intoxicated when I don't even drink. (Plus I come in around 6am.) The manager was a robot that simply recited policy. I've had to physically ask for my check so I could leave. I'm a very quiet person who simply plays tablet games. One time I was told there was a two hour limit when I hadn't even recieved my check yet and the restaurant was empty. The waitress developed a fetish after that, telling the staff to keep an eye on me for the two hour limit. I'm poor but put a $12 breakfast on my food stamps plus a tip in cash on the table. It's one of their complaints see, that I don't tip enough. These people need to get over themselves. And by the way, did you see the picture that is supposed to be their advertising? I won't tell you what it looks like dripping over the big hot steaming turd next to...
