King of Snacks — Restaurant in San Marcos

This is one of those rare places that’s really good but didn’t have a line that took forever.

This place has my favorite hot dog, hands down. The corn dog uses the same beef frank and is deep fried on the spot. It’s also really good.

The deep fried Oreos with ice cream are amazing. The ice cream in particular is really good on its own, and it’s a shame I can’t buy the ice cream on its own for triple the yum.

The chili cheese fries are good. I’m not a huge fan of the chili con carne they use, but I definitely want to get some cheese fries the next time I visit.

The service was as fast as it can be for deep frying food right as you order it, and the folks were really friendly. I’m definitely coming back, and I’ll be dreaming about...

We’ve gone down the line on his menu. My daughters will not eat store bought chips at all anymore because the ribbon fries are so fresh and so tasty. The brownie, the caramel castle, and the regular funnel cakes are so good. I had the fried Oreos for the first time in my life and I was really amazed at how light and airy they were.
