I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Residence Inn by Marriott in San Marcos and I must say, the hospitality provided by employees Richard Williams and Jeanetta Frazier truly exemplifies the true definition of Texas hospitality and professionalism.
From the moment I arrived, Richard and Jeanetta went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Richard greeted me with a warm smile and made sure that I had everything I needed for my stay. He was incredibly accommodating and attentive to my needs, making sure that I had a pleasant experience during my time at the hotel.
Jeanetta, on the other hand, was a true gem. She was extremely friendly and welcoming, always going out of her way to make sure that I felt at home. Her attention to detail and dedication to customer service was truly remarkable, and I was blown away by her hospitality throughout my stay.
Overall, my experience at the Residence Inn by Marriott in San Marcos was nothing short of exceptional, thanks in large part to the incredible hospitality provided by Richard Williams and Jeanetta Frazier. Read moreMy family and I had the worst experience with the onsite manager, Verna. She was completely off putting, unprofessional, and rude. After bringing several issues to her attention during our stay, she commenced to argue with me and make excuses. Her defenses were up immediately, although we were never putting up a fight. It was hard to believe she was in management based on her lack of empathy and professionalism. She hung the phone up on me when I said I wouldn’t argue with her. We believe there were racial undertones with the treatment we received. We strongly believe Verna’s behavior was unwarranted and inequitable and were left questioning if the outcome would have been the same with “other guests”. I am providing this same feedback to Marriott Corporate along with an audio from our conversation upon request. As a business owner I’m aware that not everyday we are at our best, but even in an attempt to have an amicable conversation with Verna upon checkout to gain a better understanding of her rude temperament towards us, she refused to engage. Read moreOK, so I really wish I could give this hotel five stars, and I wanted to start by saying that it is a very clean and modern hotel that had only been built a couple years ago, and if you’re looking for a nice clean place to go, This is definitely the place where you will find it! Unfortunately, we do not have the best experience. We were staying in the hotel along with our cousins and our check-in went great! But later in the night around eight or nine-ish, our cousins didn’t. They arrived with their suitcase is in baggage, ready to check in, and the desk clerk was not there. They waited for around 10 minutes and then started to call the hotel, but it kept on ringing the front desk phone. They waited for another 10 minutes and then we came down and searched for someone who could come and help them check in, since they had already had a long day of delayed flights, and ready to go to bed. After 30 minutes or more, a man came out and checked them in and didn’t even bother to apologize when we said we had been waiting for 30 min.
