This was my first experince being to a Shake Shack.
The atmosphere although aesthetically pleasing I feel that the curtains could have been lowered because it's been so hot and super sunny. I ate a hotdog, a dairy-free shake, and ate some of my friend's fries. The staff was great apart from one person.
When it came to food specifically starting with the hotdog: the bun seemed wayy too soft and tasted almost undercooked/doughy, the hotdog was overcooked and wayy too crispy. The dairy-free shake was thankfully dairy-free, seeing as many people have had incorrect orders one thing I was worried about was getting a dairy based shake by accident. I wish there were more options for the dairy-free shake but there is only Chocolate. Both of my friend's got a burger, regular drink, and fries, they enjoyed their meals, except one of my friend's didn't enjoy the last half of his burger, the flavor was a little off, and it started getting soggy.
Important note
When it came to the service the cashiers were helpful, but the table service was damn near uncomfortable, not because of the workers, but because of the supervisor/higher up. There is a supervisor at this location I didn't catch her name. But each time a worker came by to ask how our food was (or anyone at any other table), the supervisor would be standing a few feet away giving the workers a death glare making sure the workers gave everyone the same talking point, as well as a super cartoonishly upbeat happy additude. She'd either be a few feet away, or across the restaurant just staring workers down, pulling them aside to tell them something, just over-doing it overall. If you want to know who I'm talking about it's a woman with a short shoulder haircut (either that or a pony tail giving her a bob-look) orange/ginger hair.
I've never eaten at Shack Shake before, and this was definitely an experience. Specifically for this location, I'd say prioritize the taste of the food, and don't over do it with nagging on the workers. This is a restaurant at an outlet mall, not a gordon ramsay 3 michelin...
Read moreThe food was fine, but damn…that one brunette named Morgan was something else. I’m usually a guy who falls in love with burgers but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t receive some amazing hospitality and service from this place. Seriously, my order wasn’t too complex, just a double shack with a hotdog and a classic cookies and cream milkshake. I was having a long day of traveling and major headaches so of course the food looked great, well at least compared to others I saw nearby. I was taken care of by this wonderful sweet woman, hell I forgot to order an order of fries and out of pure kindness this amazing human said “hey…I’ll take care of it if it means I make your day any better.” And I’ll tell you what it really did, but she went out of her way and turned a day from being good to great! Who knew the workers here could be witty, funny, and fun? Seriously I was surprised when she told me she wasn’t a manager. Especially when she leading a lot of her crew as of though she was the captain of her own pirate ship. She was some really good company, I wanted to stay longer and talk to the managers about not only her compassion but also her work ethic. Very kind and caring, I don’t live around here….but I might just have to come back for another...
Read moreThis Shake Shack is located in the San Marco Premium outlet, which is off the I-35 Freeway. From here you can easily go to feeder road and get back into I-35. This burger was awesome! My daughter said, "This is the best hamburger I've ever had!". We did eat inside the restaurant but they do have a drive-thru. When you walk in, there is a counter with a few, what I'm going to describe as mounted tablets, so you can take your time, place your order and pay right there with a credit card. Then you take a number to put on your table, and once your order is ready, they bring it right to your table. You may also go to the counter and speak with a member and place your order and pay. They were very quick bringing out the order, and it looked great. There is plenty of seating, with outside seating as well. I'm really happy we chose to eat here and will be stopping again as I make this trip every 3 months. In my picture, you can see the strawberry/lemonade (sweet) and a plain burger (and it was still great! ) and fried pickles. They have a nice menu with several burgers, shakes, and drinks and treats. You won't be...
