Best cider in all of Southern California. If you are into locally sourced natural ingredients, everything here is made with ingredients sourced in San Diego County, and the fermentation is all naturally occurring with the yeasts that exist on the skins of the fruit that's pressed. It is the most true to form, naturally created, alcohol that you can get. When you visit, you can see where it's all created and get to meet the people responsible for making it. All of the ciders are made with time and patience. You can show up and have a drink that's been barrel aged for 5+ years every time. Since it's all natural beverages, the drinks that you have will never be identical twice. It is really a wonderful experience of old-world alcohol creations. The long pour Spanish Sidra is a fun experience to have when you visit. They also have meads made with whole fruits that are locally sourced and other unique beverage like the Pommeau. There are tons of bottled offerings to bring to go as well. It's a wonderful place to bring a group of people. It's a small venue, but there is plenty of seating between the tasting room and outdoor patio. It can get a bit chilly, so bring a jacket when it cooler out. The ambiance is wonderful and welcoming, just like the owner, staff, and usual patrons. There is tons of parking. You can bring food or have food delivered while you hang out. There is tons of parking on the street and in the parking lot. Don't miss out on one of the most unique and locally sourced small business and beverage creation artists in San Diego.

Nice spot close to work with a friendly staff member. They have local fruits from Julian and also have an informative website telling their story, how they make it, etc. Although I found out that cider isn't my go-to beverage (just too sour and sparkly), it was pleasant nonetheless and I'd be willing to tag along with someone. I got the L'enfant one.

Recently visited Raging Cider & Mead and had an amazing flight of ciders. The taproom is not big, but they have indoor and outdoor seating. I sat at the bar, which allowed conversations with the bartender who was very friendly and taught me about ciders since I'm a novice. Definitely Raging Cider & Mead is a hidden gem!

Proprietor was really friendly and happy to guide us through the menu and customize our flight based on our preferences. Ingredients are sourced locally. All the ciders and meads had unique qualities, fruity or floral, tart or semisweet, alcohol forward or like soda. Some we loved, some we didn't, but the overall experience was really fun. Not all of the offerings on tap come in bottles or cans, which was a bit of a bummer. Smaller outdoor seating area with heaters, a bit more of a local spot, a bit rustic, and a steady stream of customers. It seems like there are a lot of regulars, and it's easy to understand why. We took some cans home and will make the 45min...

World-class heritage ciders right here in San Diego. This is a true gem, one of the best cideries in the country, with a wide array of classic offerings featuring a multitude of cider, pear, and honey varieties. What's extra cool is the devotion to featuring locally grown, San Diego County apples (and pears and honey) in all of their ciders (and perries and meads). The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly, and the environment is conducive to relaxing and maybe even making some new friends. Raging is a must-visit for any cider lover, or even those who are "cider curious." Like...
