Serenitea — Restaurant in San Marcos

Japanese decor at a boba tea shop in the middle of nowhere... What a wonderful world it is. Great boba, fresh and chewy. Very well done, almost perfect, a lot of attention to detail. I had rose milk tea, fireberry tea, and mango mama hot tea. I thought the Rose milk tea was the best among the three. Rose flavor was definitely prevalent, but not overpowering. I asked for decaf tea with 25 percent sweetness, and it was plenty sweet. Fireberry tea is the tea you can buy from Costco or Amazon and make it yourself. It is okay, but it's an acquired taste. The mango mama was not what I expected, very little mango flavor and hard to figure what exactly it supposed to taste like. The tea room is decorated nicely and clean. Although I love the service, people there, and atmosphere, I'm not that big of a fan of their boba and drinks. Maybe it's because I'm picky, I don't know, but I tend to favor stronger teas. I love the customization ability of the drinks and how great the prices are and how there are plant based options, but usually when I drink boba I favor the strong flavor of the tea with the boba. Maybe it's just me and that's just how they roll, but if you're looking for strongly brewed tea in your boba, this isn't the place. I do love many things about Serenitea though. Probably THE BEST service I've had from a boba shop. I also prefer sweeter boba(as in the pearls) too, so maybe I just have a different taste. Accessibility: they do have accessible/handicap parking right in front of the building but I know during the daytime anyone will take this, including customers from the restaurant next door. There is one light in the parking lot that goes on after sunset but the lot is still pretty dark. Parking lot is paved. The door to enter the building is a pull push door.

Experience: wow! Great experience. I came on a Sunday night and I was the only one here for at least 20 minutes. It was so relaxing, quiet and calm here. They had nice, fun music playing, plenty of wooden tables to sit at, a wall length mirror to take selfies in (if that's your thing), and the tea was cheap and fantastic! Wow!
