Su Pan Bakery — Restaurant in San Marcos

Order a cake for my daughter's 5th bday party. I looked everywhere to see who could make this specific princess cake. I found Su Pan here in san Marcos. Send them a few emails never got a reply back from emails. Once I was told by the bakery workers that they could make me the princess cake . Ofcourse I order it. I make sure they receive the picture design of cake 3 times by calling and visiting I was confirm by workers they did receive the picture design. So the date came by for pick up of the cake . The cake was nothing from current design I have specifically asked for and PAY .Workers were telling me they never received actually picture design when they have already confirm with me 3 times they did. Workers never even left a voice message to notify me that the picture design was never received. Being Pregnant with everything going on right now I was disappointed, upset and super stress out . I drove far away expecting the cake i was told it could happen. I didn't mind paying the price for this special occasion for my daughter aslong as they could make me what I was confirm they could. The owners didn't make an effort to even fixed the problem. Instead they told me they charge me cheap. Owners would refund me 10 bucks from what I pay. They never did.. they just clean their hands .If I would have known I would experience this stressfull situation while pregnant I would have gone somewhere else. I love their taste of their cakes but with this whole experience I would recommend anyone whomever orders a cake to just got with what they offer because if your going to order an specific design it ain't going to happen at least in my experience and you would be over charge...

Have been coming here for years for party cakes and bread, while the food is delicious, service seems to have gone down in the past couple of years. I had already experienced a few incidents in the past with timing, yet we ordered a cake for a 15th birthday party days prior and went in expecting it to be a quick exchange, but service was poor at the front . Stood there for a while with another customer, where we made banter about how long it was taking and called out to get their attention in the back .Teenage girl working the front was not helpful and spoke with condescending tone instead of apologizing for the wait, kept giving me and the person i was with dirty looks. Had to come back to ask them to fix a misspelling and the girl rudely told me there was nothing she could do. Resorted to fixing it on our own cause all that needed changing was a singular letter ( l to r ). Should be procedure to double check spelling when making the order as a business, or at least have better service when dealing with it. I bought a 3 Leches Strawberry Mousse cake on Thanksgiving. Service was pretty basic. But the cashier didn't even bother putting the top on the cake. I grabbed it and noticed it was open. She stood there looking me dead in my face, not offering help, as I put the top on. Had I not noticed the cake would've fallen out the holder right onto the floor.

Next issue and the biggest issue. I paid $41 for this cake. My family was so excited for a moist Tres Leche cake. I cut a few pieces and the moment we tried it we were all disgusted. This cake was INSANELY dry! Like we needed milk to get it down. I'm adding photos because you can even tell in the photos how dry it is. I'm so disappointed because I went here based on the Tres Leche reviews. I should've taken the food poisoning review as law and skipped this place. I STRONGLY do not recommend this place.
