Ross Dress for Less — Local services in San Mateo

Today I was at the store and was so surprised that is was so quiet and the line just everything seemed to be running very smooth. One of the alarms went off on a product while I was passing by one of the isles and saw this one girl run to deactivate it and I was honestly very surprised since that never happens. I love coming to shop to Ross but hate coming in because I am not exaggerating but sometimes there are not one but several alarmas going on at the same time and no one does nothing about it. It is honestly very unpleasant to come in and shop with that sound during my whole shopping experience and am sure many customers would agree with me. That being said, I felt my shopping experience was a lot more pleasant, then I see the two gentlemen which seemed to be supervising the store and were talking to two of the workers, a male and female.They were giving them suggestions on how to utilize the space and the placing the displaying racks and tables to make the place more efficient for customers, then they walked outside with just the woman and continued talking about schedule. Then I realized the reason for which the were no annoying alarms beeping all over the stores. I just wanted to thank you guys for working together on helping customers have a better shopping experience without all the loud alarms in the store that was really pleasant, also even though when I was there today it wasn't crazy busy line was running smooth also, so thank you, hope this everyone continues to work together it feels good to come in to shop in this type of...

This review is my experience from continuous visits in the last one year to the present (2023October) Greeted-at front door Selection (Men's, Auto, Bath, Kitchen, Utilities, Accessories, and furniture dept.)at this specific location always has been very accommodating, personally Clean , organized, well priced through out above mentioned depts Restocked or newly stocked items without any selves left empty Cashiers are more aware of the line& will gladly assist with prompt service& a smile W/O the rush feel robot manner and/or "I hate my job" attitude 3 Ross store within my reach, i only visit this location for above reasons and not shortest distance to me or just because i want to go to a Ross !

My intentions on this review is more for the regular monthly, weekly Ross customer & Not for the occasional or once dropped into Ross...

Walked in with a cart from another store, so I was told. Simone, the loss prevention woman had a big attitude about it and was not pleasant. Left the cart with others inside. Simone gave a hard push and pushed the cart, letting go, as it rolled out the door and yelled at my wife and me about disrespecting her by leaving the cart inside. We complained about her anger and attitude to a male manager? who only said she was having a bad day. Nothing is ever done with these employees who get smart and and sassy to customers.
