Marshalls — Local services in San Mateo

Was clean, plenty of parking, next to Target and Toys R Us as well as other stores. Just went today to find a seating furniture for my daughter's room. Didn't see any employees in the home department. Lolita "Sol" was just passing by, but was on her lunch break. She was nice enough to search for someone else to help me. Lorenzo was super nice too. I couldn't find the price of the furniture. He flipped the item over to find the amount. He also offered to bring the large item to the front of the store to hold it for me and told he would help me carry the item to my car. I really appreciated his offer and professionalism. Both Lolita and Lorenzo are prime example of employees providing exceptional customer service. They went beyond the norm of service. I hope the managers at Marshalls commend these...

The shop is great overall. The only thing I hate shopping in this location is solely because of some pranks going on here by someone....I don't know if it's the employee here or some wierd customers.

I visited this shop 3 times alone and 1 time with my friend. All visits ended up with annoyance. We added so many stuffs in our cart then we just parked it nearby to look for more stuffs. It was just 10 seconds. We heard someone rolled our cart away and it was gone! We had no clue where it went. No trace at all. We asked the staffs there and they seemed to have no clue also.

Again, this has happened to me 4 times! Then I had to pick all the things from the shelves again every time this happened. This made me don't want to visit this place again. It's such a terrible experience. Someone please do something...

During the payment, I was introduced a discount which can provide savings but I was not told this is a credit card application. When being asking about SSN, I realized this must be credit card application and I clearly said I would not apply. Then, the cashier entered some numbers to fill the SSN on the customer screen without my permission and said the application weren't be approved in this way instead of cancelling the process. This actually hurts my credit already as there is a hard inquery already although it is via a wrong SSN entered by the cashier. I'm so disappointed on this cheating and aggressive behavior. I won't recommend Marshalls to anyone, and I will let people know how harmful to become a Marshalls...
