I visited the Starbucks on San Pablo near El Portal on Saturday January 25th 2025. I entered the store and made my selection which was a package of Sumatra coffee beans which cost $15.00 dollars. As I approached the counter I saw a hand written note which read "mobile orders only". I got the attention of a staff member and was told they only had 2 people on staff. As I looked around the store I saw maybe 5 people already drinking their beverages. She said she couldn't help me. I could go to the drive through. As I was a walk in customer and had walked to this Starbucks I decided to go to the drive through and see if maybe I could purchase what I came to get. As I was walking up to the drive through I saw ONE car that was at the window getting their coffee. As this car exited I went to the drive through window and knocked. The same person came to the window and said I had to have a car to purchase the $15.00 plus bag of coffee beans. I asked her why. She was in my opinion very rude and she lacked the hustle that is needed sometimes when you are short staffed. I always take the drive through at this location it's really close to my house and I get that they are super busy, but this time I waited for over 15 minutes after they asked me to pull over and they would bring out my bagel and croissant to my car even though I was the first one waiting they gave 2 other cars that where behind me there food and coffee first and on top of that the lady was pretty much like oh well!! I thought drive throughs are supposed to be a little bit faster then going inside?! specially for just a bagel and croissant. And they warmed up the Croissant I never asked for it to be warmed and they never asked me. For a Starbucks customer service at this location is not the greatest! In the past 6 months I’ve experienced almost daily… drinks that don’t taste like the way they’re supposed to, staff don’t listen and give you different sizes then you order, some staff will be combative if you say your drinks wrong, they are always out of products or ingredients like oat milk, agave, whip cream, flavored syrups to the make drinks, they were out of refreshers I mean the whole drink all of them except the mango dragon fruit, I have to request double toasted everything because it comes back semi cold if I just say toasted, no large cups will give you two grande and then tell you they don’t have large cups. Be closed way early or not open due to not enough staff, high staff turn over. Sit for 10 to 25 min with only one or two cars in front of me. Will only take one order at a time.
