Peet's Coffee — Restaurant in San Rafael

Quite possibly the worst cappuccino I’ve had made for me. I returned it and exchanged it for a cold brew, which you can’t mess up. They did offer to remake it, but even if they could have remade it 80% better, it would still be a really really terrible cappuccino. Putting a couple of espresso shots in a cup and dumping scalded milk on top isn’t a good drink.

And, I hate to be picky, and “that person”. But I don’t go out for coffee very often anymore, when I do, and spend hard earned money, I’d like to get the item I ordered. It’s embarrassing to go back up to the counter and return a drink, even if it was mostly okay I would have probably just let it go. Sigh. Oh well.

Anyway, the point is, I’m not sure the coffee making standards are very high at this place. If you care about your coffee drinks, and if you order anything requiring a little patience and skill, you better go...

I arrived to find a clean store so that is the extent of my positive experience . I am allergic to milk and I clearly ordered an almond milk latte. The barista was super rude as he asked me if I actually ordered the Latte with almond milk. He made it with cow's milk .i didn't drink the Latte thank goodness . The other order was a black ice tea . He seemed capable of pouring the tea into a cup. If you have food allergies or want a pleasant experience , you want to skip this location 1 block over is a Starbucks and the Peet's on 3rd Ave is amazing . It's...

The boss here.. He remembers my name after my first order. He is so professional and efficient. I would not be surprised if he gets promoted to Regional soon. The coffee is delicious and the staff are friendly. I have the app but I enjoy the place so much I still go in and order 3-7 drinks for my work crew every morning and just sit there soaking the smells in.
