Peet's Coffee — Restaurant in San Rafael

I’m a loyal Peet’s fan for life and it’s taken me 6 out of 7 visits to this location to write this review. The culture here is atrocious. Terrible training or leadership is highly evident at this location. As you can see from many reviews posted under this location they are meant for other Peet’s, of which I couldn’t agree more. It’s hard to find a Peet’s with poor service and culture. But this location isn’t a 4 star, it really isn’t a 2 star in terms of places to enjoy what most would consider what you expect out of a craft coffee house of any kind let alone Peet’s. I wait here for 10+ minutes each time I order a drink AFTER I wait through the line and always witness sheer chaos in every direction.

This morning, one of the baristas (with a coffee shop full of people) actually shouted aggressively at a lady who was grabbing for one of her drinks that apparently was “not her drink yet” because it didn’t have the other drinks in her order placed into the carrier..

Peet’s, you really need to do better with this location. It’s a terrible representation...

A while ago I gave this store all stars and a raving review. I have been walking in everyday to get coffee and minding my business. I have to say its no longer the case. The neighborood is different as we are getting harrassed by random folks hanging around there and walking into the store. Today some crazy guy just randomly tried to pick an argument with me, out of nowhere, he seemed unstable but I kept to myself and did not give into his provocations. I have to say however this gentleman will really provoke the wrong one, one of these days and it won't be the same outcome, and I truly hope he finds help. However the store management's approach to the situation was really left to be desired and if anything really disappointing on my end. But i will keep my true feelings to myself as the only thing i can control is decide how i will proceed and pick a different location for my...

Cheerful, helpful staff, hardworking, kept the place clean, nice place, nice outdoor tables (despite being not far from traffic) nice sale items, everyone was very helpful. But not enough padded chairs..I had to wait 4 hours there for an oil change and tire rotation at Toyota around the corner...a guy who claimed to be JFK's firstborn lovechild spent most of the time slouched in the other padded chair, never ordering anything. His home away from home. Nice tolerant staff.
