My new go-to breakfast spot in Marin. Fast, delicious, affordable, and friendly.

Sandwich, coffee, Croissant were all great.

the sandwich is on the classic Michael's Sourdough bread, which any longtime Marin resident will correctly tell you is the best sourdough in the Bay. The bacon and sausage is great and the Pastrami is also fantastic when I want to treat myself (also try adding avocado and tomato). I also eat a low-carb diet at times and Chris made me a breakfast plate without bread that absolutely blew me away.

Nothing better than supporting a local, small business that makes absolutely phenomenal food!

After coming to Michael’s Sourdough Sandwiches for 18 years, I finally tried their Sour Kid Cafe for breakfast. From helping his mom run the best sandwich shop in Marin, Chris is now running the Sour Kid Cafe. It was a pleasure speaking to him. Genuinely nice guy that thrives making people happy. For the food, the three different breakfast sandwiches I’ve tried are delicious. Same Sourdough bread, but for a breakfast sandwich! Awesome casual breakfast spot! Clean, thoughtful interior with cool artwork & memorabilia. The owner is super nice & up for a chat. I remarked on their killer espresso machine & he gave me the back story. Great cappuccino! I got the sausage & the pastrami sandos - both were terrific but I thought the pastrami was the move! The bread was, of course, delicious as expected. Now I gotta try their OG spot next door. Will spread the word! (BTW now that I know what's up, the name Sour Kid...
