Upon entering, the restaurant offers a warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff is attentive, friendly, and welcoming, creating a pleasant dining experience. The space is charming and well-maintained, contributing to an overall positive first impression.
The horchata was flavorful, though it appeared that free refills were not available—something to consider, especially as a nearby restaurant offers complimentary refills on both drinks and chips. The salsa, while having a good flavor, was slightly watery, but the chips were fresh and well-prepared. There was no hot sauce available on the tables.
The carne asada was somewhat unremarkable, and the bean burrito required a bit of searching to find the chicken inside. In terms of overall food quality, this restaurant is comparable to its well-known competitor nearby, though the availability of free refills may be a distinguishing factor. It is worth noting that this location may offer free refills, but that information was not clearly communicated. Additionally, the jalapeños seemed to be canned rather than fresh, which slightly impacted the overall flavor.

Read moreI just like Mexxi's, I do. I know some people are hot and cold on the service but I've never had a problem with them. The food is good, that's really the important thing. I think I do take-out four out of every five visits because it tends to handle the pause between preparation and eating that many other places don't.
I usually get a super burrito of one type of another, and always get it wet because they are GREAT the way Mexxi's prepares them but I always check their special board because you never know what may be a good diversion from the norm.

Read moreMy experience in this restaurant was horrible first of all the cook looks he really hates this place and then I ask the cashier a simple question and his reply is "Idk what ever is on the menu" also they charge you for simply asking for chips when down the street in Los Pericos you get as many chips as you like for free with more variety of salsa and what really threw me off was how they talk about there customers even though most people don't understand Spanish I do and the way they were expressing them selfs toward the customers with world like "STUPID" and "WHY DONT THEY JUST GO SOMEWHERE ELSE" and before I forget watch out for the red seasoning on the chips they sell you. My advice to you if you want a Mexican restaurant drive that extra 5 minutes...
