Would offer zero stars if I could. The owner wants to charge surcharges to his customers, an additional fee collected to offset the cost of credit card processing fees. However in the state of oklahoma, surcharges are illegal. Additionally, he tried to collect the fee on my debit card. Surcharges are not allowed on any debit card or prepaid cards in any state. When he mentioned there was a fee for using my card, I Kindly mentioned that as being not legal, to which I was met with much resistance. He claimed it was a convenience fee, which as a business owner myself, I know isn't correct. A convenience fee is collected when a form of payment is taken over the phone or online when it would normally be done in person. Anyway, I let the issue drop, but as the man was preparing my food, he continued to nag at me. I finally told him, it was a lost cause and I had stopped caring about his invalid argument to which he began pointing out how he doesn't need the money, that it's for my convenience and how he saved me money by making my chips, sun and drink into a $12 meal deal. Then he began yelling at me to look at a sign on the wall which said they feed the hungry, that if they needed the money, they wouldn't do that. But he kept claiming the fee was for my own convenience since they operate primarily with cash. Again, a bunch of gibberish, literally yelled at me about feeding the poor, himself not needing the money and my conveniences. I finally walked out with my food in hand, having already paid for it. Had I not, I would have walked out before. When I later opened the sandwich to eat it, it was the most pitiful sub imaginable, 90% bread. Also, as I was eating, I bit into a toothpick which had been completely embedded in my sandwich, no warning or sign of it being there. I'm aware that sub shops often use toothpicks to hold the subs closed but this one was completely hidden in the sandwich, causing me physical pain when I bit into it. I have no proof but would not be at all surprised if it was an intentional act, with the way the man acted toward me while he was preparing my food, behind a counter I...

Stopped by with my wife and father-in-law mid afternoon last week. Our first visit. Wow. What an amazing experience. I had read the great reviews, but hadn't clued my crew in. The place is old-school cool...and features a huge menu. Not typically a good sign for me, till I read the awards on the wall, which included best steak, best deli, best Italian, and best family friendly. The owner may be the kindest person I have met in years. Tough finding reliable help these days, so he has decided to pull triple duty, and run it himself. He was friendly, patient, and informative. My wife had the tuna salad sandwich. She claims it is the best she has ever eaten. My father-in-law had the Char Burger. He's a tough critic. He said it was amazing...cooked perfectly and over 1/3 lb patty. I had a Turkey Sub. Delicious. Fresh bread and plenty of meat. I would say it was perfect. Times are tough, and the owner has had to mothball some of the more expensive entrees till prices come down, so call ahead if you are wanting a steak, roast beef, or chicken and dumplings. We can't wait to come back and try the spaghetti and meatballs, among their other options. Please support these local businesses. They are labors of love, and we need them now,...

Looking for a delicious meal at a great price before work I stumbled across Bill and Ruth's sub and grill. I ordered a hot pastrami. Kept it simple, three ingredients & no condiments. All ingredients were fresh and the sandwich looked and smelled great.

However, when taking a bite, I discovered the best kept secret in town. This Hot Pastrami sandwich reminded me of home.!

I have a habit of trying different hot pastrami sandwiches in new places (cities, towns and states) I end up in looking for a taste of rememberance. Nothing compares, and I usually end up very disappointed, about 60% of the time throwing the over priced food in the garbage, (never eating more than two bites) . But this, Hot Pastrami sandwich from Bill & Ruth's Subs & Grill, in Sand Springs, Ok was incredible.

I knew I found something special. The small shop provided the perfect blend of meat, cheese and bread at a great price, & enthusiastic customer service.

Thank you Bill & Ruth for providing honest fresh food, with warmth and thanksgiving in your services. Truly one of a kind in this world of same same but different

First time coming to this restaurant. Walked in not knowing what I wanted, the staff member was beyond kind. I told him what I had been thinking of and craving( chicken, bacon, ranch sandwich) and he said he would be more than happy to make one up for me! This wasn’t an item on the menu, but he went out of his way to accommodate me and make me something I’d love. He even brought out some chicken to sample on. It was BEYOND delicious, so tender and flavorful. I cannot recommend this place more. Delicious filling sandwich, chips, and a drink was only $14!

If you have never tried this quaint place, YOU DEFINITELY MUST!! this was my first trip here. I had the belly buster and OMG it was so great!! The owner, baswali* (I can't spell so I prolly butchered your name sir and I'm sorry, but much love!!) was so great!! I sat in there talking to him like I've known him my entire life!!! I never expected the variety that I walked into!!! It's back open in Sand springs and you have got to go check it out!! I'm making this my regular go to spot!!!!

Sandwiches were good, but didn't strike us as anything particularly special. We got a turkey/cheese, a corned beef/cheese & a poboy (shrimp). Poboy had really good shrimp, but a LOT of lettuce & not much meat on the other two. Also, there was extra salt sprinkled on top of the corned beef sandwich that definitely wasn't requested. Servers were very nice, owner/manager? checked on us & they corrected an order they messed up w/out any issues.
