Dub's Drive-In — Restaurant in Sandpoint

Got the cold turkey sandwich. Why is that 10 bucks...its a tiny sandwich bread single slice of turkey no chips AND ONE ROTTEN LETTUCE PIECE... Please for the love of, wipe down the air vents and sweep the piles of trash laying waste in the eating areas. Four children standing there. As Im waiting for my sandwich, I had to move several times because the flies were everywhere assaulting me...in October when no other establishment has a fly at all, theyre swarming. Its really gross yall, and this is coming from someone who lived in a van for 7 years. My first restaurant gig was 14 to 16 and never was that lazy. Id say what annoyed me most was being at the register and not being helped, and the child girl was obnoxious, the kind of person if I was her age Id never be her friend because she acted so spoiled. No thank you or what do you want or heres your change it was like talking to a mute computer screen, no eye contact and I literally had no idea when to walk away from the register. Look, if you want to run a business, one of the employees needs to be an adult at this point. Unfortunately, this SPT native isnt going to return, everything was below expectations in every sense and its frustrating when its next to such a good grocer. Sorry for the scathing but this was pretty bad. update: so after placing my review I seem to come across identical reviews, from the brat up front to the substandard food and unhygienic conditions, yall get it tooogetherrrrr. Also, my 14 year old nephew is looking for a first job, I thought man that place has got to be a paradise for a 14 year old who doesnt want to work, so I suggested it for a job and he balked at the thought, said the place wasnt clean. Like yall, what are you doiiiing.....a 14 year old kid who wants a job thinks your place is too dirty. So I ask you this, when you wipe your arse, do you go all the way or just stop halfway?

Additional update: After reading the new owners responses to poor reviews, its clear the owner is unable to see the problems and is extremely defensive to legitimate concerns people have had, and also acts like the reviewer is lying. None of this looks good at all...glad I...

I decided to go to Dub's last night since I hadn't been there in years and had such wonderful memories of the food. I ordered the bacon burger, fries and a small soda. The gal at the front said it would be about 10 minutes for the food then gave me my drink. I didn't mind that time line as burgers and bacon take 7-9 minutes to cook.. but oh boy!! After waiting 15 mintues I tried my soda which was flat. I told the girls up front and one of them went in the back to change it but told the kitchen staff 'I'm not worried about the lady that told us because she already has her soda'. First off, I could hear you and secondly I'm a paying customer. You should worry about it and make it right. After another 25 minutes I finally got my food. Should have checked it before leaving but I live in Rathdrum and wanted to get home. I had 15 fries in the entire bag (they were good though - Crinkle cut are the best) and my burger was burnt. If I hadn't grabbed a bbq sauce, there's no way I would have been able to. It was beyond help. But after paying $15 for the meal I couldn't just throw it away plus being on the road. There was no supervision - it was all high school kids working. Curse words were being sad out of the kitchen, the two girls up front weren't communicating, one of them was rude to two young kids that came in for ice cream to the point were I offered to pay for it and the other one was rude to the kitchen staff (which is also the one that said not to worry about my drink). I hate putting bad reviews on places but hopefully this will be seen by the management or owners and they can provide help...

Have been coming to this place my whole entire life. Not one time has 3 meals coated $70.34.

No ice cream. And charged for "general customer service". What now, are out of towers going to be charged for asking where the restroom is, the visually impaired charged an arm and a leg for asking where salt and pepper is, or even the ketchup area. Lord. Should be charged for just ordering food off the menu🤣

What gets me is we were charged for "general customer service" for simply having ordered food🤦🏻‍♀️🥲

Also when trying to ask about our total amount due, being deliberately ignored, and even rushing off before we could ask again after delivering our sides that were forgotten

We are disappointed in our visit to dubs. we have been anxiously waiting to visit our favorite local burger and ice cream joint again since they last closed. Having been loyal dubs customers for 15 years, and other members of my family for 20+ this has been extremely upsetting for us. And especially the poor ettiquite of the younger employees, who for most recent years, have been very respectful, hard working, kind workers who (even if they didnt) enjoyed their job.

I am so sad. Hopefully our next visit will be better😭
