Shameful. This place is a hot mess. Myself and my wife arrived there and were told by the host (whose name is Jeremy, and apparently he's also the GM there) that the high tops at the bar were self-seating. Upon locating a table, I noticed it hadn't been bussed off yet, the table still had half drank beers and somebody else's leftovers on it, so I lingered around it for 5 minutes or so hoping it would be bussed off. Well, it wasn't.
I then went to the host stand and ask for some spray so I could bus my own table, and the general manager, Jeremy, refused to give me spray to clean off my table and told me the bartenders would "get to it when they get to it."
So I went back to my table, and cleaned it off as best I could with no spray (somebody else's crusty food was still caked all over the table, but I'm not that picky). We then sat there for about 10 more minutes without being greeted. When I approached the bar, I was greeted by a stalky African American gentleman. I informed him that I had just bussed off my own table, and asked him if we could get some menus and possibly a server.
The bartender gave me an attitude and walked away, then he told me "I'm trippin" in some kind of hood dialect you would expect to hear in the housing projects of Chicago.
For the prices they charge, this place has incredibly low standards of service. You would think that a place with such a prime location would be operating like a well-oiled machine from the top down. But with a general manager that tells you after 15 minutes of sitting in a table without being greeted that "the bartenders will get to you when they get to you," and a mouthy bartender with a bad attitude who openly insults customers when they ask for menus, it's no wonder this particular location does not measure up to any standard of the hospitality industry today.
Save yourself the anxiety and drive a mile outside the park to Texas Roadhouse, where the food is delicious and the service is five...

Many visit from their boat or walking from Cedar Point park. Parking & walking is ok if your able to walk about 1/4 to 1/2 mile or so. e.g. leaving The Breakers hotel to drive to dinner. Checkout my screenshot on where to park. During our visit the yellow gate was locked.
Food was okay. Meat was tender with an overall good taste. Fries were on the colder side.
Staff was underperforming. We had a new waitress which was ok but even the lead waitress only checked on us 1 time during an hour visit.
Decor was awesome. Love the feel & atmosphere.
Checkout was not good. Took forever. When my wife presented a coupon in the app for a free sandwich we were promptly told they don’t accept coupons even though it presented it to us after selecting this location. Manager honored it but seems like a ploy to reduce discounts at this theme park spot. FIX THE APP then if it’s not avail at this location.
Overall I would only recommend this place if you have no other option. My guess is they maybe understaffed which many establishments are dealing with. Tables sat uncleared for 20+ mins after guests left. It could have been much better. 2 for overall experience & 3.5 for food/decor. Prob more of a 2.5...
Read moreSomewhat of a hidden gem at this busy park. It's well out of the way of the big rides, being outside the park gates in the marina, so if you don't know about it, you're not likely to stumble upon it. As a result, it tends to not be too busy, particularly at lunchtime, when groups of 10 or more can often be seated immediately.
The food is a bit pricey for amusement park fare, and it is a sit-down place in the truest sense of the word, so be prepared for a pretty long meal break. It's well worth the monetary and time costs, though. The food is as good of KC-style BBQ as you can get in the Great Lakes region, and there are all variety of meats and sauces to satisfy any tastes. The portion sizes border on enormous, and the service is consistently excellent.
This is a widespread chain (I believe nationwide), but the locations are spread pretty far apart, and the menu is slightly different everywhere, so each location has a bit of unique character. This one is particularly nice. The drinks are always ice-cold, and the AC is always cranking, making it a relaxing respite from a day walking around in the sun, particularly with the out-of-the-way location limiting ride noise to a...
