I have actually dined here several times! One time alone at the bar, and one time with my boyfriend at a table! Both times great. When I sat at the bar, Megan was my bartender, and she was great!!! I had the carpaccio and the roasted tomato ricotta bread thing they have. The carpaccio was not bad, it was just extremely oversalted. It needs only a quarter of the dijonnaise drizzle they have on top of it, and probably no salt at all. The capers provide the perfect amount of salt to the dish. I enjoyed the pear manhattan. It was really good! I had it on the rocks, and added a little simple syrup so it wasnt straight liquor. It tasted great, the cardamaro in it is my favorite part! I ended it with their amazing creme brulee!!! When we dined, we had the amazing asparagus fries, my favorite! We got 2 tavern chicken sandwiches and added swiss cheese and avocado to them, SO gooooood!!!! I had the kale caesar for my side which is delightful. He enjoyed the fries and I may or may not have taken a few myself lol. And of course again, ended it with the creme brulee. Daniel was our server and he did a great job and got us everything we needed.

Mellows Tavern has always been a go-to, and I enjoy hitting up different locations to see how they compare. This particular visit had its highs and a minor low, but overall, it was still a great experience. My heart was set on their famous brownie for dessert, but alas, this location didn't have it on the menu. A bit of disappointment, but I pivoted to the butter cake, and wow, it was absolutely awesome! Rich, moist, and utterly delicious. My only wish? A scoop of ice cream would've taken it to heavenly levels. For the entrƩe, I tried the veggie burger. While the texture was good, it definitely needed a flavor boost, so I ended up adding some seasoning when I got home. On the bright side, the fries that came with it were perfectly crispy and seasoned. What truly shined, though, was the atmosphere and the wait staff. The ambiance was inviting, and our server was fantastic, attentive, and friendly, making the whole visit pleasant. Despite the veggie burger's seasoning needs, I'd still happily revisit this Mellows Tavern location and explore other menu items.

Ate here before the movies that is next door. The food was great. We got the asparagus fries (so good) as an app but as soon as they set them on the table the food came right behind it at the same time. For entrees, we got a grilled grouper sandwich with fried okra, tacos with fries, a ceaser salad and a chicken tortilla salad with coriander & lime dressing. At the beginning we got our drinks and had to asked our server 3 times for straws. She never brought them. We finally asked another server and they brought them. After we got our food we askour server 2 times for extra salad dressing. After asking someone else for dressing and she came by the table again and noticed we still had not received. Finally she went and got it. We had to ask for drink refills too. When it was check time, we had separate checks and she but drinks on the wrong ticket. At the end she said it was only her second day but there is no excuse for us to have to ask more than once for something. Server was Alexandra, she needs more training.

Our family were regulars here years ago but at some point stopped going when the food and service declined. After giving it another try tonight, I can honestly say we won't return.

My son (10) and I ordered the most basic meal possible: chicken tenders and a burger. After placing our order, our server spent the entire meal casually chatting with folks at a nearby table (seemed to be folks he knew or something).

Another server delivered our food, and by the time our server checked on us for the first time, we were basically finished with our meal. We asked for more condiments but it was moot by this point. Condiments were also delivered by another server.

The manager offered to refill my water once, but my son was not offered a refill all night.

I texted my wife while we were there and asked her if she'd like me to bring something home for her. She said yes. But it took absolutely forever for me to even place the order, because our server was still having his social time at the table nearby.

A lot of time passed at this point, so I finally asked the manager if we could please: 1) cash out, and 2) get a status on our to-go order

By this time, our server finally returned with my wife's order (no sauce on the tacos - I was sure to check) and brought our check. He apologized for the delay, and then he promptly blamed the kitchen staff.

A dining experience at this Marlow's is very proactive for guests, and you will spend lots of time being frustrated by the poorly trained wait staff. This was our experience years ago, and seems to still be the case...

My friends and I have been to Marlows more than once and always expect a wait, and since we had a bigger group of people we didn't expect this wait to be fast. The hostess wrote our name down as per usual and then told us the wait would be an hour or longer, ok fine we didn't mind the wait. However after we killed some time in the shops near the restaurant we came back to see if the wait had lessened up a bit. No not uh not at all, the hostess didn't even acknowledge our presence and refused to seat us even when tables where opening up, although she would seat other just arriving customers. Starting to feel really angry our group ask if the wait was just to find a table that would accommodate our group, the hostess snaped a yes at us and walked away from the stand again as she had been doing multiple times since we got there. Finally my group got pissed enough to decided to leave and go some where else, as we were talking the hostess comes over to us and points at my boyfriend asking him to follow her, she shows him two tables with a couple seperating the two tables and told him that since they didn't have enough chairs two people in our group would have to stand. Pissed off and hungry we left without even getting seated. We ended up going down the street to La Maddiline where might I add the service is great as well as the food, mainly because we got served right away and treated politely. That's all I've got to say...
