Buffalo Wild Wings — Restaurant in Sanford

UPDATE: I’m leaving my original review below because I think it’s cowardice to delete things on the internet. I’ve come back to this location three times since I left my review below. I don’t know what exactly has changed, but I do know they recently got a new manager at some level. On every visit so far, the service has been great and the restaurant has been very clean. I am very pleased with my experience as of late and I really hope this continues. I’ve updated my stars to reflect the five they deserve now.

I would give this place one star if not for a couple of the servers there. There are like 3-4 people that I have interacted with that are personable to any degree. We have been to this location more than a dozen times both alone and with parties in the past 10 months. I am consistently disappointed with nearly every aspect of the location. First, it takes forever to get an order more than half the time (I order wings extra crispy so the wait is several minutes longer anyway, but this is crazy). Second is presentation. Throwing the wings on a tray and pouring a glob of sauce into the pile is not what we pay for, but it's what we get. About 25% of the time you can't get anyone to answer the phone for to-go orders and when they do answer, they're great about getting it wrong or leaving items out of the bags (like sauce, which takes another 40 minutes for us to come get). Bartenders and servers regularly disappear like we're dining in Soviet Russia (I've been there, the service is better). Our server went off to who-knows-where for like 20 minutes one time. Our more recent experience was over two hours of waiting for food and that wasn't even when the building was hit by lightning. The cleanliness is hit or miss. I've been sat at dirty tables and the bartenders have allowed us to sit in sticky messes until we asked for it to be cleaned. The beer selection is really quite good, so they've got that going for them.

Do yourself a favor, go spend your $50 somewhere else where they care about their customers- perhaps Red Robin or Longhorn. These managers should be ashamed of themselves for letting an establishment fall into this kind of chaos. You may get lucky, but we simply haven't had enough good experiences here to...

Terrible experience here for our draft party. We drafted here last year and while the service was slow, we didn't mind and staff was welcoming. This year, half of our party arrived on Sunday at 3pm. When the hostess asked if we called ahead, we said no. She proceeded to passive-aggressively tell us "Well, let that be a learning experience, we usually don't seat without a call ahead" and "don't forget to give your server a good tip". She then sat these 3 people outside in the non-air conditioned patio. When the other half of our party arrived 5 minutes later, another hostess offered an inside table and told there was no problem for a draft kit. We realized our other party half had been sat (but not received drinks yet) and motioned for them to join us at the interior table.

Katie, our server, was no better. When we motioned for our friends to join us, she was taking drink orders. She served us at our inside table and admonished us for not bringing our own silverware and straws from the first table (they were all unopened and we assumed those stayed with the table). We placed our orders with her continued bored/apathetic attitude and proceeded to have our draft.

When the food arrived, Katie made a spectacle of her tray being really heavy and just kind of slid the sauces to the middle, saying we should figure out which was ranch and bleu. Two of our party ordered the same item: a sample platter, yet she gave them only one Southwest sauce to share. When one person asked if they could get their own dip sauce and not share with another person, she proceeded to act defensive and say she didn't know what the big deal was but she would ask the line to get her another. Food was adequate but we needed to repeatedly ask for refills, napkins, and to go boxes.

We are a fairly decent and polite group of nerds just looking for a place to eat bar food and discuss the upcoming NFL season. I'm used to slow service here but today's experience has ensured I will find a new place for our draft next year. I don't need to pay $100 for mediocre food and be treated like I'm an...

Not sure where to start. Server was great however should have also noticed how bad some of the wings were visibly when grabbing the plates. Wings looked like they were made at lunch time and we were having a 9pm dinner. Many of the boneless wings were only half covered in sauce. All of the wings and boneless wings were room temperature at best. Fries were all cold. Mozzarella sticks had breading around a cold hard cheese stick that didn’t even break apart let alone stretch without it pulling the breading off one side of said cheese stick. Cheese curds were the same, cold and firm/rubbery inside. There was 6 of us, 2 had burgers they said were “ok” but their fries were also cold. Most of us are all non complainers but one person pointed out how bad their boneless wings were and got a fresh batch that was night and day different shade of color for the same sauce. With everyone having the same issue clearly visibly looking at the plates nobody else was offered a fresh batch unless they asked. As we hung around for a little we jokingly waited to see if the left over sauce on those fresh ones would turn as dark as the first batch was. They didn’t. Original batch and other peoples wings must have been made previous to us ordering. There’s no way they were cooked to order. The one fresh batch came out great. Beer was good so congrats on not messing that up I guess. As long as this review is, it’s worth all the words written. Server was very nice but all our meals were absolutely horrible and I’m truly not exaggerating here. None of us will be returning here. I don’t know if it’s laziness, trying to cut down on waste, or just unhappy atmosphere to work but whatever the reason please train your kitchen staff to actually care about their job. McDonald’s chicken nuggets would have been more fresh and a better experience. The 1 star is...
