Pizza Hut — Restaurant in Sanford

We had pizza from here last night and it's not the Pizza Hut I remember loving. I was actually up sick almost all night because it was sooo greasy. I get pizza can be greasy, but it was sooo greasy I went through at least 3 napkins for myself. My husband had the worst heartburn he's had in forever and my youngest kid asked that we go back to ordering from Marco's. My oldest didn't even eat any of the pizza or cheese bread. I tried the new Tavern style with sweet sauce and it was not good at all. There was barely any cheese on it (I only got cheese and olives) and so much sauce it overpowered any flavor. The cheese sticks were ok, but nothing like I remember them tasting. I got an original pan (paid extra for it) pepperoni as well and it looked almost identical to the hand tossed cheese pizza we got. So not sure where the pan pizza part came in. Maybe it was just an off night or something, but we'll go back to ordering from our regular pizza place. I tried to do something different because of a deal they had going on and it just didn't work out in our favor. The only star I could possibly give Pizza hut of Sanford N.c would have to be a negative 5 . Being in Management of the Restaurant business for over 35 years I have never seen such a sorry excuse of a food establishment. I really hate to put down any Restaurant business, but enough is enough. A one hour delay for a very simple pizza is so unprofessional and the staff's attitude toward other customer's including myself is nothing more than poor management on both sides. I completely understand in a packed restaurant your service is going to be slower , but with only one table with a party of four in the establishment service should be spot on . My husband and I had the opportunity to try out a new pizza place that two of us had never heard before in the town of Boone N.c . Hungry Howie's is hands down the best pizza we have ever had. It was good enough that we talked about opening a franchise in Sanford not only because we love the food, but because of pizza huts reputation in this town. I’m only gets one star because that’s the Lowe’s you can leave. The tracker at the end of the order stated 25-35 min.... it took OVER AN HOUR and some change to be delivered... it arrived cold and greasy. I had my whole family here waiting for dinner just to want to throw it in the trash. I do feel the need to mention once it hit the over an hour mark I called and a SUPER SWEET young lady answered and gave me a small discount and told me it had just left the store. Then the driver arrived just a couple of moments later with the nastiness and his customer service was non existent. I called the store back super frustrated by the ordeal and did not get the sweet young lady back I got a rude woman who when I asked for a manager did not say a word she just Transferred me to what is apparently a call center that handles the customer complaints now. Where the heck has customer service gone where has empathy for the customer who supposedly always right gone? If his was my franchise I would do a complete overhaul (except for the sweet girl) in my management and staff. I’m beyond dissatisfied. Maybe pickup would be different but I’m not gonna chance it.
