I decided to go buy a mofongo at this place. They are no puertorrican anything they have no clue what a mofongo is made they boil the plantain they have it already cook then smash it when this not by no means the correct preparation procedure but worse the chicharrón de pollo. Forget it is no chicharrón they are.Fried chunks pechuga. And nasty looking nasty flavor the plate cost 11.99 but they add like 6 dollars in taxes I never knew about these taxes resuming Nasty food not even close of what a mofongo is if you are going to this place seeking good food mire pa otro lado food display there do not resemble tonpuerirrucan food they are a JOKE don’t waste your money and dingy wait don’t expect them to ask you to go back for arefund. No no no they keep your money as customer satisfaction is not in their menu If I even try mofongo at a place call El Coqui they also claim authentic puertorrican no true neither If at age 73 full puertorrican doesn’t know the puertorrican mofongo then u r not noticia This restaurant says puerrican don’t be fools go to Lelos Barbecue in DELTONA were you WILL savour the puertorrican. MOFONGO SO far I’ve been many places trying to buy good mofongo. I in Orlando Nor Sanford nor lake Mary found any mofongo mofongo should be fried plantain soft with real chicharrón go to Lelos y DELTONA. This place Palla voy don’t get a hair close to mofongo I should had taken a photo but I gave the food to the cats sorry but you have to discovers the nastiness yourself I will never ever had eaten so bad food of course palate is different in all humans what is no good to you is heaven for others but I’m 73 and if by my age diesnt recognized a good mofongo then....

Placed an order at 7pm and Was super disappointed with the amount of food I received for $30+ - I spent $18.75 for one single plate of Pork/ Pernil Asado Combo for our dinner.

Have ordered here plenty of times and typically I can feed me and my ten year old with this. There was more meat then there was rice. The pernil was very very greasy. Macaroni salad was hot which has never been the case - typically it’s cool temp.

My son and I probably had three spoons each of rice and it was gone. Sadly disappointed and we are still hungry. I've ordered here plenty of times and honestly don't know if I would go back or order again.

The Sweets Plantain were delicious but again where is the rice needed to compliment that? I've went to plenty of these ā€œfill the plateā€ Spanish restaurants that fill it to the top and where your stuffed with extra left over. With delivery and tip I paid $30+- this plate shouldn't have been worth $12. I believe it was overpriced.

I felt like I had to call and let them know of my disappointment, I spoke to an Ariana who said she would gladly replace the meal at no cost for tomorrow, but tonight I guess we will be left hungry because they close in five minutes.

Appreciate them remedying the situation but still is frustrating. I believe the plates should be no more then $12- $15, sides for $4 and drinks no more then $3. Had to even hold out in getting my favorite drink ā€œParcha Juice because it...

Served Raw food and not refunded…

I’m really disappointed in the service at pa’lla voy, I was served raw chicken (the insides were hot pink) which is so disappointing because it was seasoned really well, I had already eaten maybe 4 or 5 small bites at this point, so I was nervous I had eaten so much of it, I then showed the lady at the front desk once I realized how pink it was… then had to show two other people and I was asked if I wanted another one… these chicken pieces are pre-made not made from an order so I wasn’t going to risk eating more chicken (I had already had a few bites) that was still pink. I declined and asked if I could had a refund and when I only got a refund for 13$ I was surpirsed because I spent 20, 2ish on soda and 3 on a tip…

I was surprised so I asked why I only got 13$ back instead of the 20 I originally spent.

I was told it was my soda which is really insane that I got fed RAW MEAT and paid them 7$ for it.

Times are really tough for everyone right now, this is the first restaurant meal I’ve had out in a very long time, I normally wouldn’t sweat 7$ but it’s more of the principle of not even apologizing, I have a chronic digestive disease and I’m sure I’m going to be suffering for this later, you never know what invisible illnesses people have,

I’m beyond...

Being Spanish myself it’s hard to find an actual place that cooks like your own mother does. I was really impressed after I tried Palla Voy, after I ordered from them off Door Dash. I’ve went in person and the staff are nice, place has plenty of seating not a super large restaurant but neither tiny. The times I’ve ordered, I’ve tried different items.. highly recommend grabbing some Parcha (passionfruit) juice it’s so tasty and refreshing. The pulled pork (Pernil) platter is literally lick your fingers good, you can choose a side and the type of rice you want - I ordered the soft plantains and rice/beans which was amazing. The Macaroni salad is on point too. However, on another occasion I was craving something sweet so I grabbed the flan to go and I was super disappointed; it is NOT authentic and you can just taste that it is bought in bulk for resale, which really lets them down and the Spanish food and authenticity they’re bringing to the area. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE - eliminate these terrible premade flans and bake the real ones- you would have returning customers just for the flan alone. Food can be a bit pricey since it’s pretty much Al la carte, but the portions are great. I would recommend to anyone looking for some quality Spanish food. 🄘

I was not aware of any Puerto Rican restaurants in Sanford until I found this place by accident. So glad I did give them a try. It is a small, but cozy restaurant with a great staff. They were very friendly and warm people. If you're in a hurry, you can order food from the steam table (a staple of PR restaurants). Everything in that table looked delicious. If you are willing to wait for your food, they have a pretty good a la carte menu. I had the Mofongo with Shrimp in Garlic sauce. It was a solid dish. Absolutely delicious. And they didn't skimp on the shrimp either. It was a large portion and I am definitely not complaining about that. In my opinion, the owners hit a homerun with this restaurant. I wish them the best of luck. Will definitely go back while in the area.

This restaurant was such a gem! Also close to home. The location was super clean and welcoming. The manager or owner was very friendly and welcomed us on our first visit. You can get food from the front or order from the back. I got the pernil with beans, white rice and noodle salad. Omg… the beans were like my grandmothers cooking! So nostalgic. The pernil was perfectly cooked, not greasy or fatty like others…. The rice and noodle salad was also bomb! My BF got the mofongo with two fried chuletas! They are biggggg and so juicy! The flavor is great and seems super authentic. I felt like I was in San Juan! Great place… will be back again. Also, affordable and large portions…
