Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in Santa Barbara

I’ve never had a bad experience at Jersey Mike’s until now. I’ve talked so highly of the franchise that I decided to have it for dinner tonight…worst decision of my life lol. I was calling the store to order my food because I knew that I would be pushing it close to closing time and wanted to make sure that I would be able to get my sub before driving all the way to the store. No one would answer. Then I get to where the address took me to, and it was not the right location. But again, no one would answer the phone so I could get an understanding of where I needed to go. I went in Gelson’s and they instructed me to go across the parking lot. I guess the sign has no lights. So that makes it even harder to see at night. I get to Jersey Mike’s and the door is locked before closing time. The two guys look at each other and then decide to open the door. At this point, it’s a few minutes before closing time. I inform them that I had been calling then asked can I still order and they said they don’t take orders over the phone after 8:30pm but yes…then ask if I’m ordering a cold sub. I told them no since I was ordering a Philly cheesesteak sub. They tell me that I can only order a cold sub since they have decided to clean the grill before closing time. I ask is that a new thing and Vaan tells me yes. I ask for the corporate number and Marko's response is “I’m sure it’s online”. I asked “you can’t give it to me?” And then get no response. I understand that I was pushing up on closing time. However, if they will close everything down at 8:45pm, they should change their operating hours. Very unprofessional. This location has the worst customer service and a very rude manager. When I arrived to pick up a mobile order I was ignored, while other people who arrived after me were acknowledged. Meanwhile, people who entered the store after me (and after my scheduled time) had their orders prepared at the counter, paid and left while I was still waiting. When I inquired about my order the manager told me they were busy and I would just have to wait. When I asked her if I could just cancel my order she said she had already prepared it and then threw it in the counter in front of me with no word. I will...

Unfortunately this jersey mikes is not up to par with the other locations in SB. The food quality stands out as being significantly worse than the rest of SB. The staff appear untrained and lack basic food preparation skills. I received a stale Philly cheesesteak that had large pieces of cold unmelted cheese in it. My girlfriend also received a stale sandwich. The manager re made both sandwiches, but the rest of the staff were super young and lacked customer service skills. Hope to see...
