I can't probably fault this particular JiB location because it most likely can fit other longtime fast food chains well (McDonald's, Burger King, Wendy's etc) due to high inflations & state minimum wage laws.
I got a coupon off T-Mobile Tuesday app, so I made my order through Jack's app (part of the deal making people download) & purchased a Jumbo Jack Cheeseburger. The mobile ordering went quite smoothly, no issues there. When I arrived at this Santa Clara location, it was about 6:30pm with a couple people dining in (kinda sad, at this dinner time, the dining room should be close to being full), and also there was 3 people ahead of me waiting on line to purchase or mobile pickup.
The gent ahead of me suddenly started yelling at the cashiers, "Hey, you gotta take some orders at the cashiers as well!" - as the lone older cashier seemed to be serving only telephone orders first, while leaving customers waiting in line second. Then, there was this male employee who kept going in and out from the kitchen through the side door and going to the beverage area to get something, why couldn't he open up the second register??🤔🤔🤔
If you compare this scenario to 2 miles down El Camino, the cars waiting in line to get through In-&-Out Burgers are incredibly long, and yet this Jack had troubles serving only a few, no wonder nobody was there.
And the food ,

Read moreI normally dont write reviews but i had to to spread the word… this is the second time in a row i ordered a double jack with cheese and they just give me a regular, so i decided to call the location and was greeted with a very sarcastic “hello” and they didnt even give me a refund. Not to mention they didnt give any napkins or sauces for the tacos I ordered as well. Im upset enough that they couldnt give me a refund, however, I used to work in fast food myself and it was mandatory that we answered the phone with “hi welcome to …., what can we can we help you with?”, not a “hello” and we always made sure to leave napkins condiments and forks/spoons with every single order. Read moreIt may be my memory, but it feels like the burgers have been shrinking over the years. Today's burger definitely did not match the menu picture at all, and I first thought a mistake have been made since I did not see any bacon spewing off the sides. I found a piece after I peeled back the bun. Additionally, the patties were somewhat dry due to the age(?). The jalapenos are generally what draws me into the restaurant, again got the shrinking feeling and they were a little cold. Worse, they were out of ranch dressing, and believe this was the first time I had it plain. Just not the same.
