What's up with this "taqueria"?? This place has over 4 stars?? Why? We tried to order a Chicken burrito but instead got a salty, salty steak burrito that looked like ground up steak which didn't get eaten. And trust me, i usually like salt but not when i need a couple quarts of water to go with it. Whoever wrapped the burrito with foil looked like it was their first time doing that. We were also supposed to get a plate of costillas but instead we got a regular steak plate. Meat tasted slightly sour. On top of that, we got small flour tortillas with the steak plate! Flour?! What kind of taqueria doesn't give you corn tortillas with your plate?? Ordered 4 tacos, 2 lengua and 2 steak. Lengua was OK but the steak was same as the burrito, salty as hell. Read moreCame here for lunch based on the reviews. Ordered chicken enchilada plate. The restaurant was cold inside for it being 55 degrees outside. I wasn't given any chips or salsa like the reviews say they give. Plate came and I asked for chips and salsa and she said you have to order them as we charge for them!! Wth. .all the Mexican restaurants I've been too give it free. Strike 1. The enchiladas were dry and hardly had any sauce on them but were covered in cheese.. The chicken was cut in chunks and just thrown into the tortilla. So they basically made tacos rolled them and poured a little sauce on them. Strike 2. The beans, rice, and horchata were good. The main food was a disappointment. I ended up pulling the chicken out of tortilla and eating it with the beans because it was so dry....ick....will stick to going to El Pirrin...
Read moreThis place is such a must for authentic homemade Mexican dishes. I felt like I was visiting Mexico the moment I walked in. The place is so vibrant and colorful, it immediately uplifts your mood! All of the staff were kind and inviting. I’m from Texas and we have tons of Mexican restaurants but this was such a nice hidden gem I came across. I’d be here once a week if I lived nearby. The portions are a decent size and the aguas frescas were delicious! If you’re in the area, I definitely recommend you give this place a shot. It will not disappoint. We ordered a chilaquiles plate and enchiladas Rojas de asada. The drinks are green agua de espinaca con piña y Jamaica (spinach pineapple...
