Hi,
I was at the Santa Clara Lee's sandwich (Santa Clara Square 3243 Coronado Pl.) on Saturday 06/08/2024 around 1046am. While I was not directly affected, multiple customers witnessed the cashier harass a female customer regarding an order.
The cashier kept calling the customer racist and repeated that she is with the FBI and CIA (felony if not true). The cashier also yelled go back to your country. The customer is Asian and kept her composure. The customer only inquired about the order on her receipt, possibly wrong order entered. The customer also stated she would pay more. The customer never raised her voice as she was probably confused at the situation.
The lady in the back making sandwiches felt bad and gave the customer a business card for her to call about her experience. Also, the lady in the back was very professional, she tried to calm the cashier, however, the cashier was yelling at her as well repeating that she was with FBI and CIA. The lady in back asked the customer what number sandwich the customer ordered and made it for her.
While I think this is an isolated matter, the cashier was very unprofessional and lacked customer service. Such outburst and unprofessionalism can lead to legal issues for Lee’s Sandwhiches. I hope you are able to review the cameras and make swift actions to prevent future...
Read moreI've already liked Lee's Sandwich and if you are from the Bay Area you know it's been here forever. I always order the special #11 and I think compared to many other Vietnamese sandwich places, Lee's has really good cured pork belly. Looking at the menu it looks like they really diversified their menu for the picky and weird bay area folks but I just always order the special banh mi because that's what set them apart from other non Vietnamese sandwiches. The sandwich is fairly long so I don't think you will find yourself hungry afterwards. The price is Bay Area price but it's understandable because of the physical location. This particular location is small but clean and I have no problem with...
Read moreI always come weekday mornings to grab a sandwich on the way to the office. I haven't been disappointed yet. The quality is consistent and my order is always accurate. Service is fast and friendly. It's always nice to see Hau's smile in the morning before a long day!
So far, I have tried the roast pork and BBQ pork sandwiches. They are pretty filling, even for a big eater like me. Bread is always fresh and crispy. Occasionally the roast pork can be a little fatty, but some would argue that's a plus. The BBQ pork is thinly cut and not dry at all, unlike many other shops. The pickled veg are not overly sour, and the jalapenos are usually at least a...
