Was feeling like Mexican food today so I got out my yelp app and found Lupita’s. The reviews seemed pretty solid so..... why not? The parking lot is on the smaller side but when I got there at 2:40 pm I was able to park right in front. I walked inside and was immediately greeted with a smile as I was walking around taking pictures. I ordered the Super Burrito 1/2 El Pastore and 1/2 well I’m not sure “I told her to surprise me and I forgot to ask what the other half was” I must say the burrito was really good. “ comes with sour cream and rice” They have a hot chip and salsa station with 3 types of salsa, chips, radishes, limes, jalapeños and they also have a big vat of this red pepper oil sauce. All the salsa’s are good, my favorite was the green salsa. One of the red ones has a nice smoky flavor and The heat intensified overtime which made my nose run “sooo good”" They have water available near the salsa station, a refrigerator near the order area with lots of sodas as well as Mexican specialties like Horchata available. The interior is well decorated and has a TV they also have a really cool handwashing station and...
Read moreThis place is awful. I got a tamale, veggie burrito and veggie taco, asked for both taco and burrito without bell pepper. The taco was covered with bell peppers. If that wasn't bad enough, I discovered my veggie burrito was only rice, lettuce, sour cream and guacamole. No onions, no cheese, and incredibly no beans. :( The tamale was delicious. I brought the taco and burrito back and they remade the taco but told me the vegetarian burrito doesn't come with salsa but offered me a side of beans. I give the place another try 2 days later. I order 3 tamales. I'm eating while driving, I'm tasting some dryness and feeling some coldness but chalk it up to the cheese on top - No. I get to my destination and stop and check to find the top of the tamales are undercooked. Now I got here at 11:15 ish and didn't get my order til 11:50 which was sufficient time for them to cook, it wasn't that busy either. I ended up vomiting a couple hours later. This place is awful, I gave it 2 tries. I don't understand how the reviews...
Read moreFood is ok but not really authentic and not worth the price. The camarones a la diabla are very sweet, not really spicy, tasted kind of like ketchup (more like camarones a la ketchup). Service is also ok. The young lady at the register is really nice but the older lady made me feel like I couldn’t ask for condiments. I asked her for limes and she brought me only two small pieces dryer than the Sahara Desert. She even told me “they’re dry and don’t have enough juice”. I don’t understand why she would give me dry limes. I wanted to ask if she could give me more limes that weren’t dry, but I felt like I couldn’t ask and I also didn’t want to be rude. So, I tried to use them, but they were so dry that I was only able to get like 2 drops out of only one of the pieces. Not the best Mexican place to go. I was starving so I ate my food but definitely didn’t enjoy it. Picture of my sad dry...
