Ananto Sushi: A Hidden Gem in Stevenson Ranch
During our culinary adventures across the globe, my wife and I have savored some of the best sushi Japan has to offer. Our frequent travels to Japan have made us quite discerning when it comes to authentic sushi experiences. However, we recently discovered a sushi haven right here in Stevenson Ranch that rivals even the finest spots in Little Tokyo and beyond—Ananto Sushi.
From the moment we stepped into Ananto Sushi, we were greeted with warmth and genuine hospitality. The restaurant's ambiance is inviting and impeccably clean, a testament to their meticulous attention to detail. The owners and staff, especially the owner’s wife, were incredibly attentive and friendly, making us feel right at home. She took the time to answer all our questions with a smile, enhancing our dining experience.
The quality of the sushi at Ananto Sushi is nothing short of extraordinary. Each dish showcased the chef's remarkable skills and dedication to the craft. The head sushi chef, who honed his expertise at a renowned sushi restaurant in Beverly Hills, brings a level of sophistication and authenticity that is hard to find elsewhere. The ingredients are delivered fresh daily, ensuring that every bite bursts with the purest flavors. Their commitment to quality control is evident in every aspect of their offerings.
The service at Ananto Sushi is exemplary. The staff’s efficiency and friendliness complement the outstanding food, creating a seamless and enjoyable dining experience. It’s clear that everyone here takes pride in what they do, from the meticulous preparation of each sushi roll to the impeccable cleanliness of the restaurant.
In conclusion, Ananto Sushi is a standout gem in Stevenson Ranch, and arguably the best sushi spot in SCV and Los Angeles County. For those seeking an authentic and top-tier sushi experience without hopping on a plane to Japan, this is the place to be. My wife and I are thrilled to have found such a remarkable sushi restaurant close to home. Ananto Sushi has undoubtedly set a new standard for excellence in...
Read moreWe were on the lookout for a new sushi spot. The places that we normally like to go to have really gone downhill, so we have been on a search for a new good place to go. I remember seeing this place before they opened up and said that once they open up we need to try it. Cut to 7 months later, I did a quick search and saw this place pop up again and it reminded me that we have yet to go. The reviews were all I needed to see. We loaded up and headed over and we have no idea about what we were about to encounter. We were greeted at the door by a very friendly lady who ended up taking care of us. She was very kind, informative and attentive. We would later find out that she was the owner. We started off our meal with a tempura shrimp and it was fresh, crispy, tender and full of flavor. The sauce that came with it was delicate yet present. One of my favorite things is a spicy scallop hand roll and when I asked if she could do it she said "Absolutely, I can make that happen." It was by far the best spicy scallop hand roll I've ever had. We followed that up with two pieces of halibut sushi and she told us not to dip it in the soy sauce that it was seasoned with fresh lemon and sea salt. It was SO good! To top off a meal we got the 911 roll. It was beyond delicious. Spicy, fresh, clean and delicious. I really wanted to get a second roll! I remember telling my wife that I was sad that the meal was over. Our check was delivered by friendly faced little girl with a beautiful smile who was doing all she could to help out with the restaurant. It was an unbelievable experience with delicious food and impeccable service! I can confidently say we have found our new sushi place!! We have been there twice this week! Thanks for putting pride in what you do! We love it!!
They also have a great selection of sake and good...
Read moreI was craving sushi and found this place on Google Maps. It has a 5-Star rating and the reviews are great, so I had to check it out for myself. I’m so glad I did! This is a family owned restaurant, which makes me happy to support a small, local business.
The service was great! The sushi was superb. The owners serve high quality fish, which makes a difference in the taste. The tuna was amazing! It was blue fin tuna, which I’ve never had before, but I love it! The owner/chef had me try the halibut sushi, which was brushed with truffle oil; it also had a drop of fresh citrus juice, and a sprinkle of sea salt. This was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend you try it. You will thank me later! I also tried the toro sushi, which is blue fin tuna belly, brushed with a special soy sauce, and I can’t remember what else, but it was so good! I asked the chef if I should dip either sushi in soy sauce, and he suggested I try both without. He was right.
Just when I thought I was done, the chef asked if I would like dessert and pointed me in the direction of the cold case. There were 3 different cakes. I chose the coconut cake. It was light, fluffy, and very refreshing. The cake is made with real, fresh coconut, and everything from the meat to the juice is used. She chef’s mother bakes all of the cakes. If you like coconut, then you must try this cake!
This is such a lovely little restaurant, with delicious food and excellent service. I will definitely be back, and I’m telling everyone about it! Make sure to check this place out. You will be...
