Unbelievable! I usually don't leave bad reviews. I ordered a train set, a PS5 and 4 bikes for Christmas gifts on Black Friday. I recieved the train set and was notified the PS5 and bikes could not be delivered because they didn't have a delivery driver. Since I lived 15 minutes away, I went ahead and went in store to pick the order up to save the confusion. Well, this added to the confusion 100xs more! I recieved one bike and the PS5. I was notified the other 3 bikes are at a different location and I would have to wait until they were delivered to their store or my home. Well this morning I recieved an email and they canceled the wrong order. They canceled the 3 pending bikes instead of the one I picked up. Now here I am calling store to store as as well as customer service to figure out how to get these bikes back in process to arriving to me before Christmas for my children and the customer service agents and supervisor is acting dumbfounded. This is not my inconvenience. It's yours. Not to mention, I shopped in store before checking out and returning to the pick up area. My family waited in the car as I went back in. I waited about 30 minutes for the pick up agent to verify my order and inconveniently only recieved one bike. The exit at pick up was closed so I walked to the front of the store to exit. I CAN NOT BELIEVE THE EMBARRASMENT AS THE ASSOCIATE CLAIMS I DID NOT PAY FOR THE BIKE I JUST WAITED 30 MINUTES TO VERIFY!!!!!!!!! A LABEL WITH MY NAME WAS ON TOP OF THE BOX! She calls the manager from the self check out, the store manager, and 2 other employees to verify I paid for the bike I just had to explain to the pick up associate! Now I am sitting at the front in full embarrasment as my fiance' and children wait in the car worrying what's taking me so long because it looks like im attempting to walk out of the store with the bike when I spent more than 4xs the amount of the bike in-store a hr before and my total order was about $1,000 and I only recieved half of my order! Again, THIS IS NOT MY INCONVIENCE, this is YOUR failure to communicate. I've never experienced a bad experience at Walmart. This was the first and I'm very VERY disappointed. Please do better. It's the holidays and the last thing someone want is added stress and trauma. And in ending, I STILL did not recieve the bikes and I'm being told I have to go back to their store AGAIN to repurchase the bikes because they can't reverse my canceled order.    Read moreThis is my go to store for almost everything I need. I shop at Wal Mart sometimes 3 if not 4 times a week depending on what happens in life. Part of what happens in life is why I have been a single parent and collecting child support payments.I was going to the palm springs location at least once a week to cash a paycheck or a child sport check. Upon shopping for my necessities because I don't make a list and then just go once a week to get everything at once. I stopped going to the palm springs location because of the undercover security guard that would always follow us. I've been a successful single parent since before becoming a parent. I have no need to steal and I entered this location once for their undercover acting like he was a customer but waiting for me to enter as if he wanted to follow me. I politely said I work too hard for my money for you to follow me around shopping as if I need to steal any 1 product in the store. If you're not that smart to notice the $300+ smart watch on my wrist and the $160 Nike Air Max shoes on much feet you would assume I'm broke. I told one manager lady at Palm Springs cause as I walked in for a toilet paper she called for security to follow me. Which they did. As I walk to check out I told her I am a wealthy successful single parent with no need. urge or want to steal. Have security harass me coming to shop supporting your paychecks will force me to personally sue you and then the company as well. Sad that I stand 6'2" walking in stores and the assumption is I am a thief. I don't look the part but their folks assume. Like I stole my Louis Vuitton wallet too right? My $50k credit card says I don't need to steal.
Aside from this issue I have at almost all wal Mart locations I step foot in my only issue with this Rancho Mirage/Thousand Palms location is the firewood was recently moved from the shelving. I was going to start buying a bunch as I remodeled my entire backyard with a fireplace by the new pool but noon moved the firewood here.    Read moreWe travel the U.S. for work and I can say that this is the worst Wal-Mart I have ever been to! First I bought food here (will NEVER do THAT again!) I got home and noticed a terrible smell in my truck, when I started putting groceries away I noticed it was because the chicken that I had JUST bought was ROTTEN and stinking. I took that back and they didn't seem overly surprised, I actually had to demand that they not only refund my money (or they offered me replacement chicken! um... NO thanks) but also give me a gift card to pay for the time, fuel and hassle of having to come right back to the store and return the rotten food they sold me. They looked utterly confused at the whole concept of going a little above to make it up to a customer. Later we found that the apples that were purchased that day were rotten and liquid inside AND I went to feed a yogurt to my baby and thought it looked strange and found out that it was 10 days expired, but I had only purchased it 5 or 6 days before! SO DON'T BUY PERISHABLE FOOD HERE! Yuck. Later I bought an air mattress because I had guests coming to camp with us. The air mattress lost its air and went flat about 4 hours into the first night it was used. I took it back the next day and found another man in line holding the EXACT same air mattress that he was returning back it did the exactly same thing at the exact same time! They REFUSED to issue a refund and insisted that it only be exchanged! Why would I want to exchange it when they are obviously a defective lot of matresses? They didn't care so I had to pay MORE and exchange it for a more expensive air matress. Useless customer service! This wal-mart also tends to be out of stock of things that most wal-marts carry, couldn't find Terro Ant Bait, couldn't find Toilet Wand refills... won't miss this one...
