Diablos Tacos in Santa Clarita is a vibrant culinary gem where the rich tapestry of Mexican heritage is celebrated through a modern lens. Upon entering, I was immediately enveloped by the establishment's chic decor, a harmonious blend of rustic charm and contemporary style, and a warm, pulsating energy radiating a commitment to culinary excellence. It's a place where the time-honored traditions of Mexico beautifully intertwine with innovative flair in every aspect.
My gastronomic adventure commenced with the Cheesy Diablo, an exquisite creation that beckoned with its inviting aroma. This delight featured a soft flour tortilla cradling a luxurious medley of mixed cheeses, generously adorned with a zesty Diablo salsa that danced on my taste buds. The crisp lettuce, finely diced onion, and a sprinkle of fragrant cilantro provided a refreshing crunch, seamlessly complemented by tender beef that infused each bite with a rich, satisfying depth. The chef's passion for authenticity and finesse shines through in every carefully considered detail.
The crowning glory of my meal arrived in the Diablos Taquitos Special—a dish that perfectly encapsulates culinary artistry. These golden taquitos, lovingly filled with succulent, seasoned chicken, were artfully presented, each piece elegantly garnished with a luxurious drizzle of tangy sour cream. A mound of crisp lettuce and a lavish dollop of guacamole completed the presentation, transforming each bite into an unforgettable experience. Paired with traditional Mexican rice and hearty beans, this dish celebrates classic flavors, all crafted with a contemporary sensibility that showcases why Diablos Tacos is heralded as one of the finest Mexican grills in Santa Clarita.
The service team at Diablos Tacos is not just a team, they are a group of individuals who exude genuine warmth and impeccable attention to detail. Their dedication ensures that every moment spent in the restaurant feels like a special occasion. Whether you are a devoted aficionado of traditional Mexican cuisine or an adventurous spirit seeking modern reinterpretation, Diablos Tacos guarantees an extraordinary dining experience—an exquisite fusion of heritage and innovation that transforms each visit into a true culinary...
Read moreI'm always down to try a new place in the neighborhood and look to support it, so we stopped in for a quick lunch to see what the place was all about. It is super appealing on the outside and it looks welcoming and nice. The patio lights stretched across the front and the designs and colors draw you in. When you go inside it's very clean and very well put together and there was definitely some consideration with the way it looks and the style. The menu gives you a decent amount of options. My wife got the toast out of salad and I got the two taco plate. I got the grilled fish taco (which is mahi-mahi, one of my favorite kind of fish) and I got a chicken taco as well. The fish taco was fine. I personally prefer to taste more of the fish but they gave me a pretty heavy amount of sauce and the filling sort of overtook the fish and it seemed more of a taco of fillings rather than a fish taco. That said, it wasn't bad. I just prefer a little more fish flavor in my fish taco. The chicken taco was not my favorite. It was on a flower tortilla in the combination of flavors, to me, didn't work that well. There was a sweetness that I can't explain and I prefer the savory elements in a chicken taco. That one, I did not finish. The pinto beans were okay but the rice was really good. Normally the rice is the last thing I would eat, but I did finish the rice on this particular meal. My wife got the tostada salad and she seemed to really enjoy it. She got it with steak. I tried a bit of a steak and it was pretty good. They do have a salsa bar with three different types. Traditional pico de gallo, a tomatillo salsa and a red salsa that tasted like roasted peppers. The green was the better of the 3. All in all, I'm not sure it would make my list of top places to go back to as a regular favorite, but they do have options and I'm sure we'll be back...
Read moreA definite upgrade from the Mexican restaurant they just replaced. When first walking in, it's easy to tell that this restaurants has the bones to be something good-- nice interior, nice branding, and some "Bad Bunny" style music playing in the background. Service was fast and friendly and the food came out very fast. There's still work to be done, however. I ordered a grilled fish taco and they brought out a fried one. I returned it but I'm not certain I got a new piece of meat as there were almost no grill marks on my fish. I got the veggie burrito and my partner got the Diablo burrito. Both were good but Diablo was advertised as spicy but not spicy to any extent. Veggie burrito was filled with lots of veggies, rice, and beans. Chips were fresh and crunchy. Fresh catch fish taco was okay, I've certainly had better. After the meal, I felt like things were perhaps a little too salty-- didn't seem that way when eating but got that lingering "salty" taste in my mouth after. Finally, while the place was clean and very nice inside, I felt like the salsa bar and trash cans were not tended to during my visit and certainly could've been addressed (eg, pico de Gallo was running very low, trash bins were getting pretty full). All in all, a decent visit and I will likely pay them a...
