This is the rudest Handelās experience I have ever had and the response from this particular owner is unbelievable to those who came to our defense with our unsavory experience. If the owner wants to say they strive for āāāgreat serviceāāā then how did my girlfriend get 6 scoops and sneered out by their employees but I got 2? You can speak highly for your unprofessional, immature employees who mock and laugh at paying customers then actually taking accountability and responsibility that your crew that you pay provided disgusting customer service. Itās is unbelievable that you are trying to prove that they are right (which they are not) instead of finding a resolution that doesnāt show that your crew and this environment is juvenile. If your āteamā feels itās funny to be rude to customers because again, we BOTH should have had oversized ice cream and be demeaned by toddlers, then own up to it! Your cameras are front facing??? Or like Alina cried on the phone āwe are 16, we are in high school! We donāt know any betterā. They arenāt even trained to have a proper response. She owned up to it in her unprofessionalism and the cameras should clearly show theirs or did you fast forward pass them closing counters when there were lines of people. Talking in a group instead of proving customer service and then seemingly 4 employees to scoop out two ice creams? Do you want to double or triple down on that? They will never know how to treat people, especially people who do not look like them and do not allow themselves to be disrespected as they are paying for a treat, if you do not do YOUR job and correct them. Shame on all of you! How sad to have even been to a Handelās...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe have been here 2x in the last several days. I guess that says a lot. I guess we are somewhat ice cream snobs, preferring smaller batch made. For a store offering 42 flavors, they make a very good product. The ice cream is very creamy, and they store it at the perfect temperature so that it is firm but spoon friendly. Many of the flavors are overly sweet with a lots of syrups, candies, etc added in. However, there are a handful of fllavors that are more basic such strawberry (the original flavor), coffee, etc. The first time I order the smores and it is definitely a full dessert with marshmallow and chocolate added. However, it is very yummy but really sweet. The 2nd time, I ordered the strawberry which was also yummy but much less sweet. If we go back a 3rd time, I think I will try the coffee. My hubby got the coconut cream pie in a waffle cone the first time but loved it so much, ordered the same on our second trip. The store is very clean looking but note that you will be ordering at one of their many windows and then leaving to find a seat nearby or eat it in your car if it's chilly. I definitely recommend giving Handel's a try. However, look online first to choose your flavor. If you click on the flavor, you will see a short description which I found helpful. Serving sizes are very large with a small dish being...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHandel's isn't quite my favorite ice cream...I like just the right balance between icy and creamy and they focus a little bit more on the cream which makes it pretty rich. That having been said it's still ice cream and it's really hard to go wrong in that department. We've been a couple of times...There's always a line. A good tip would be to order on the app for pickup...even if you're standing right there and you'll get to go to the pickup window which, in my two visits, has never had a line.
My wife really likes the black cherry ice cream. My second time there, knowing the ice cream texture wasn't my favorite, I got a chocolate malt. Malt makes ice cream shakes so much better (and they're already pretty good.) It was a bit cold (outside) so standing there and slurping down a malt wasn't my best plan, but, again, ice cream - you can't really go wrong here.
The service is friendly and fast. It's only a walk-up establishment so no indoor area to sit...but there are plenty of places right in front to plop down and enjoy yourself.
So do it. Enjoy yourself....
