The food was absolutely delicious!!! We tried several things off the menu including the pork soup dumplings (xiao long bao), bacon fried rice, chow mein, beef & green onion pot sticker, shrimp & pork dumplings, shrimp har gow and broccoli with garlic. It was all incredible. The soup dumplings are what we went for and they did not disappoint. We even asked to order more after we’d finished our order but it was too late, understandably. The food is worth the trip.
Now some of the fine print: I didn’t realize when we went that they had just opened, I thought it was some sort of post-covid re opening. The inside is still unfinished and they are only seating people outside or ordering for take out. No problems with that, we went for dinner and it was perfect outside. I’m glad I thought to call earlier in the afternoon and the nice woman was kind enough and save Our party a table for 8- they only have about 3 tables so be prepared. If you go anytime soon- please have patience as they find their footing.
The only things we disliked and wish they change before our next visit was: 1: they didn’t have plates & silverware. Not sure if this is because they’re just opened or because of Covid but we’d like to not eat out of styrofoam take out containers and paper plates before our next visit. Not a deal breaker, but for the price we paid ($180 for 8 people) we would have loved serving ware and dishes. THEY HAD NO ICE! On a June day in Santa Clarita, they only had canned soda and room temp water to offer. Please have ice.
Other than that, I definitely recommend their food. They were incredibly great hosts, food came out pretty quickly, steaming hot! 8/10 We will be back next time we’re in the area!!
Go!! Support this authentic, new & family owned business but please have patience with them! It was worth it!!
I took no photos of the food, we...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I found this restaurant on a whim while being out of town. We are from Bakersfield, and we have pretty much tried most of the restaurants in our area. We were both craving fresh, juicy, steaming dumplings! So I googled, "dumplings near me", and it brought us here.
The parking area is a good size, however the spaces are tight. So, knowing how to reverse park will help you out tremendously! Or if you're like me, a passenger princess, just don't tell him where to park THIS ONE TIME, and see how he does.
When you enter, it might not seem as fancy or spacious as other restaurants you've been to. However, do not let this discourage you. You will be asked "for how many", and they will guide you to your table. On your table there will be a QR code that you will scan. Here, you will order your food and pay as well. I must admit, at first I was waiting for the server to take our order. Lucky for you, you're reading this and are already one step closer to getting your food faster than the table next to you.
We ordered $90+ worth of food. Yes, we did. We thought the portions were going to be small. But, we also wanted to try a variety of food since we live 1 hour away from here. And we'll, we were hungry. I was shocked when our table was full of plates, but mostly excited!
I encourage you to order their chow mein, honey walnut shrimp, and/or orange chicken. Their dumplings are good too, however, I ended up liking their other options MORE. Ironically, what we went for was dumplings. Whatever you end up choosing, I'm sure will be better than anything you've had before.
We have came to this restaurant six times within the last 4 or 5 months. We drive one hour just to eat here. And it is definitely worth it, every-single-time.
No I was not paid to do this review, I just love this place so much I wanted to do this review while...
Read moreDISCLAIMER: I do not believe my experience is a proper representation of all overall experiences at this restaurant, this is simply what happened to me and my family.
First and foremost, the food is great! We had the edamame, soup dumplings, pork buns, taro buns, spicy Sichuan chicken, and bacon & shrimp fried rice. Just about everything was delicious!
Second, the customer service was alright for how minimal it was. Our table was cleaned as soon as we told them we were sitting down, and the contactless QR menu made ordering fairly simple. Packing leftovers is also a breeze because customers can help themselves to the to-go containers and plastic bags.
But the whole reason my review is 2 stars and not 5 stars is that the soups we ordered took a ridiculous amount of time to come out. It’s why I didn’t mention them in the food we had: we basically never got to eat them.
The first soup took around 40 minutes from when we sat down, and the second soup NEVER got to our table because it had already been an hour since we sat down and we wanted to leave. We waited and waited, because our family experience revolves around everyone eating together, at the same time, but we gave up and asked for it to be refunded. The very nice and apologetic cashier rung us up, and we left.
Were it not for the horrendous wait time, we would’ve had a perfect and delicious night out. But as far as I’m concerned, DO NOT order soup from here if time and eating together is...
