I've been to this location several times and it was usually ok, but the most recent time I've been there will be the last time. I was highly disappointed in their service. First off, we sat in the bar because the tables were full and we didn't want to wait to be seated. The bar was actually quite full too and only one waitress was running the whole thing. I have to give her credit for her ability to run around doing several things at once, but they are definitely understaffed. Our food took a long time to show up, for just one burger with fries and fish and chips. The burger was fine, however the sweet potato fries were pretty burnt and the fried fish was HORRIBLE. The fish was super tough and chewy, reminds me of my frozen fish that has been sitting in my freezer for several years. It's really disappointing because a chef should be able to tell right away that a fish is in such poor quality and should not be serving something like that. I told the manager about this and she just said sorry. She offered to give us new fish but we decided not to get it considering it took so long for them to cook it. We just asked for more bottomless fries. She said someone is bringing it over right away....10 minutes later she passes by and we inquire about our fries, turns out that the server gave the fries to the wrong group so we had to wait for another batch. For a place that serves bottomless fries with so many of their food options, you'd think they make lots of fries at a time and constantly have them at hand to pass out. It's quite disappointing that we had to wait almost 20 minutes for our second round of fries, each time only giving us about 15 pieces at a time. Needless to say, we had enough. The food has gone off a cliff since pre-2020. That is the short version.
Used to be that the 'bottomless' fries were a real thing, but today its much like what Red Lobster did with 'All you can eat shrimp'... You get about 12 fries per request. This is in contrast to the big basket you'd get pre-2020. So, you spend a lot of time running your server around to actually get anything out of this offer. Apparently potatoes are more expensive than the people who have to run back and forth to the kitchen? Strange days indeed.
The buns which were really very good a few years ago are now dry mealy things that I wouldn't pay half this price for. The Habit is SMASHING Red Robin for burgers and doing it at half the price. So whats the draw? Oh... Yeah, the full bar.
Red Robin (this location at least) isn't even a sad shadow of what it used to be... Clearly cost cutting run out to the extreme has killed everything good it used to have.
HOWEVER and I want to be super fair here. The people working there were excellent, the service was good. This is not a people problem, this is a supply problem. This is why I only deducted hard on the food.
It's time for big chains to stop pretending that they can't get decent supplies because of post-Covid. Hold them to it and stop saying your dry nasty burger is a 4 star burger, people. Any of a dozen similarly priced restaurants within less than 2 miles of this are superior...
Read moreI brought my niece here for lunch on 05/16/2025 and got a burger w/acacado slices, which the cook or his/her assistant put rotten (yes black spots all over each slice) avacado slices on it, removed them myself and waitress noticed and complained to manager who came over & apologized (not her fault unless she hired the inept kitchen staff). Anyhow it happens, buger by the way is a pre-made previously frozen Buba burger type burger and just full of grease and absolutly not fresh (thought red robbin was known for its burgers. We'll here I sit now once again a week later (May 22nd) and our waitress went on her dinner break after serving our food and said the manager would attend to us...We'll 40 mins later 2 of us had to go to the bar to get drinks because no one ever came to our table. I go to the bar and so-called manager copped and attitude and said your server went on a break..Well Ms Manager (Alicia) if your waitress was going on break you should not have given her a table...Not my problem doesnt mean we all should sit here and be ignored cuz she had a break scheduled. So seriously Red Robin in Valencia is the worst run resturaunt, has horrible cooks, burgers are NOT fresh (definetly pre-made frozen), tonight's manager litterally should be fired with her flippant rude attitude (as if it's the customers fault your waitress went in break and we needed more service). I honestly don't know how this place stays open. Highly disappointed...
