Zankou Chicken — Restaurant in Santa Clarita

Today coming into this Zankou made my day a much better one. I must say that as busy as this restaurant is, one specific employee went above & beyond to give me the best customer service after the cashier overcharged me & didn't even get my order right. MEHAR gave me my food, I was not happy that I got something I didn't order. She quickly fixed my order & made sure that I got anything else I needed as I waited because the food is cooked fresh as you order it & takes a good 15 minutes to make. More people need to go out of their way to be this sweet & nice as this associate MEHAR has helped me. I ate the plate that they made me but I wasn't happy about it & so she made sure to make me a fresh batch of what I did order originally. She kept asking if I was ok & if I wanted something while I waited for my food to get cooked. Remember I had to wait 15 minutes from the moment I ordered and then to get the wrong meal and then have to wait again that's a good 30 minutes of my time that I don't have to be wasted on my food being incorrect. Yet when you have a worker like MEHAR being on top of you & your needs as she understands it was a mistake by another associate really changed an upsetting experience into a Great one! All in all she was so helpful, very nice & understood that my time is precious & shouldn't be wasted, that meant everything to me. When you have good associates working for your company like that , ones who appreciate their customers really go out of their way to make your day better It really makes me want to spread the word to others of how great the employees are at this restaurant. It was funny that my initial reaction was negative and the cashier Jordon recognized and talked to his manager Meher. They approached us and wanted to see if any way they can help. I expressed my displeasure and the way I thought I was not taken care of right. Meher took her time to listen and I felt special and yes they care for their customers and how they feel. At the same time Jordon approached me and apologized if he was able to communicate right. After listening to me and I felt that it was my bad understanding and Jordon did not mean it wrong. My thoughts were reverted to best review. They were humble, understanding, patience in listening my situation and were able to diffuse to the best review without geting into an argument.

Good job Zankou and great job Jordon and the best is how Meher handled and made me fan of Zankou.

I received a yelp notification that read "Michael, how was zankou chicken?" To that I reply pretty flippin great sir, pretty flippin great! I really love zankou chicken. But Michael, there are so many great Persian restaurants. Zankou is basically fast food. To that I reply... sometimes I crave a double double, sometimes I crave a big Mac. My point is, I don't have favorites, I have places I love, and zankou is one of those places! Meat, garlic, and pickled turnips is the difference between eating and dining!

This location has great staff, a good amount of seating. As with other locations, you get to fill your own soda, and they have tapatio in packets!!

I highly recommend zankou chicken!! Ironically I'm not much of a chicken person. I get the beef shish kebab plate. Sometimes I'll get the tri-tip shewarma wrap, and add pickled turnips. So bomb! Their yellow chiles are great too. Almost identical to In N Outs.
