We were pleasantly surprised by our dinner here. The place was fairly busy but we got lucky and got a booth by the window. The view was amazing! We started off with the clam chowder in a bread bowl. This was our first time trying so we can't compare it to anything else but this one was delicious. The soup was creamy and the sourdough bread was actually fresh and also quite good. I don't personally eat seafood but I did try the soup and I thought it was really good. For the main I had the pulled pork sandwich and since they obviously specialize in seafood I didn't expect much but it was actually pretty good. The BBQ sauce was good and there was a good amount of meat. The bread again was delicious and toasted which was slightly crunchy. The fries somehow tasted just like McDonald's fries. The other main dish was the prawns and scallops. The dish was really good but we thought it would have been better had the shrimp been grilled instead of how it was served. The vegetables were nothing special and could have used some seasoning on them as well. Service was really good as well so if visiting Santa Cruz again we would definitely come back.

We went for a late Saturday Lunch. There was no wait at that time and we got a table outside. Our server was very friendly and polite. The only downside of this place is that there are no chicken options at all. I do understand it's a seafood place but having limited chicken options when there are steak options wouldn't hurt. We tried Pinot Grigio white wine and we enjoyed it.! The food that we tried: 1. Smoked Oysters: This was the first time I tried oysters. This was full of sauce and it tasted good, although I think raw ones would have tasted better. 2. Fish and chips were good, crispy fries and 4 pieces of fish! 3. Salmon Dijonniase: We didn't like it too much, it was okay. 4. Shrimp pasta in alfredo sauce: It was bland. No veggies, just shrimp! Overall, I had a mixed experience. Like 2 dishes, didn't like the other two as much. The bill was little on the higher side for the food that we had but I understand the location makes it expensive.

This is a cozy little spot located at the end of the Santa Cruz wharf. It only has a count of 7 or 8 tables inside, but if it’s a nice day out, you can also take advantage of the outdoor seating as well. They are open 7 days a week for breakfast, lunch and dinner. They have appetizers, soups and salads, sandwiches, pasta, freshly caught fish, and wine and champagne. The clam chowder was delicious and super flavorful. I don’t eat oysters, but a friend got them and said they were amazing. They looked pretty! I had the deep-fried prawns and fries. They were so good, and the fries were yummy and slightly crispy. The prices and service were good. I have always just gotten take-out here, but I loved eating here. Next time you go to the end of the wharf to check out the deals, you've got to give this place a try.

Didn’t have much expectations coming here. Walked into the outdoor patio, closed patio. No one was around except another young gentleman eating and sitting with his beautiful dog. Yay for dog friendly places! It was cold, so I was craving clam chowder! Ordered that and 2 waters… food came fast, hot, fresh and delicious! The chowder was so creamy and had tons of clams in it. Also, the service was great! Next time if you’re getting something small like this I would order at the to-go window and sit at the benches. A lot of the restaurants on the Warf have outdoor seating so I want to say this a is a dog friendly area. Also, bring your pup off season.. too many kids and people can make your fur baby feel uncomfortable

Didn’t even wait until I left the restaurant, to leave this review. The food (that they did have in stock) was good. My aunt requested that her burger be cooked well done. When it was brought out, her burger was still very bloody in the middle, far from well done. It also took our server forever to greet us, bring us water, check in with us throughout the meal,& took nearly 20 minutes for him to come back, so we could tell him about the undercooked burger. It seemed like he was avoiding us. When he finally came around, we let him know that we no longer wanted the burger & asked for the check. Hopefully they improve bc I actually enjoyed the food.

We came here for lunch on the wharf on a Sunday as we were in the Santa Cruz area, ordered at the take out window to eat outside on the outdoor tables, order came out quickly! Clam chowder in a bread bowl was spot on! It was creamy and most importantly, no sand in my clam woo! So delicious and I am still thinking about it the next day. There was so many options and price differences on the wharf with clam chowder but we decided to give Dolphin a go. It did not disappoint! But for the fish & chip, unfortunately it was overcooked hence it was a bit dry.. The winner here was the clam chowder, still 5 stars because I love the chowder so much!
