H&H Fresh Fish — Restaurant in Santa Cruz

I’m super disappointed in their oysters and would not have said anything if it this was a one off occurrence. But, since this is the 2nd time of them were not fresh, I had to comment. The dozen oysters had a barn-straw flavor and were inedible(both times). While their H&H fish we get is wonderful, I’ll not be buying their oysters again. 😒

Hi Thanks for your response. The oysters I bought were purchased on Saturday, 8/17 at 11am. I didn’t realize that one could tell that oysters were spawning during the shucking process. I wish I had known as I would have passed on em. Next time I go in for shellfish I will ask about how old they anre and where they’re from. No worries about giving me a freebie in the future.
